I stocked up for two weeks so we could hunker down. What foods are you surprised you need more of and what are you not eating that you thought you would.
Should have bought more: Tostitos bite size chips
Not eating: Fresh picked mandarin oranges- one daughter loves them the other has discovered she is allergic/sensitive to them

We don't eat nearly as much meat as I thought. Probably why my freezer is so full. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) After cleaning out the freezer(s) I have committed to not buying any meat until what we have is gone. We (the kids) do eat a lot of chips and salsa and pretty much any snack food.

Bread. I used to make my ds a PB sandwich daily so we used 2 slices tops. Now everybody is making sandwiches and I’m finding I have to ration the bread to get us until my next grocery shop.

My dd's are pretty much not relying on me to feed them lately ... that means it's just me ... I'm using more salad ingredients and less chicken ... freezers are full of meat ... who knows when it will get eaten

We use a ton of tortillas and practically no lunch meat. I had no idea.

Yogurt--my boys love to eat Chobani flips with their lunch, but I didn't stock up enough because I've been used to them not eating much while they are in school.
Non-food item...dishwasher soap! I knew we had "plenty" so I didn't bother getting more, but that was before I realized we'd be running the dishwasher every day, day and a half!

Pop Tarts. They're my go-to snack if my tummy is a bit off, like today. Eating the cinnamon brown sugar ones. Yum!

Eggs. I eat scrambled egg whites for breakfast, I make scrambled eggs for DH when his stomach is touchy, yesterday he asked for a German pancake for dinner and that used 4 eggs.
I was lucky to find them in stock yesterday. My mom went to 3 places in her tiny town and could not find any.

Cookies and ice cream. Comfort food. I do a lot of mindless eating out of boredom. I'm like my dad. We are full but mouth craves sweets. Has to be a hormone imbalance. Good thing we're active

I never ate tortillas until this lock down. I also tried to eat low carb. Now I eat quesadillas everyday. Where did that even come from? Smh

Salad & baked potatoes. So strange but I’ve been eating these daily. Craving them. Fortunately folks in my town don’t eat as many veggies so my grocery is pretty well stocked when I’m all out.

I rarely bake outside of the holidays and have depleted my sugar and flour bins in the last week. We are eating way more homemade desserts than usual.
I can't think of anything that I've overstocked.

Celery, potatoes (cooking from scratch more) and Doritos (turns out everyone loves those to snack on). Non-food item...dishwasher soap! I knew we had "plenty" so I didn't bother getting more, but that was before I realized we'd be running the dishwasher every day, day and a half! I keep a good stock of these, but grabbed another bag on impulse right when this started to take off. Glad I did because we are doing so many more loads of dishes, mainly because I'm cooking more and DH is here all day.

We are going through snack food like crazy. I have three 20-somethings in the house and all they want to do is snack. We made a grocery run Sunday that was supposed to last at least a week and we're already very low on snacks. 🙄
ETA: And coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

Bread - 2x normal Milk - 3x normal (I finally had to put a stop to my teenage boys' constant guzzling) Popcorn - 2x normal (all our normal snack foods are out of stock - when this stash of popcorn is gone... ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/mYSUyHtG9Jrcmm_ydVcK.jpg) ) Eggs - 2.5x normal (they seem to be in stock, even when our usual protein sources are sold out) We're not really eating less of anything.

We run our dishwasher once or twice a day, but sometimes more with all 5 of us at home. My kids use so many dishes. I bought a big pack of disposable bowls because the constant need to run the dishwasher was driving me crazy! I bought two 90 pack cascade pods on sale at costco. They had a lot! I will buy another before the sale ends.

Normally, I crave salty things, so I have eaten more chips and nacho chips. Surprisingly, I craved coffee ice cream.

Eating lots of black beans, rice, quinoa, and cheese.
Not eating lots of fresh vegetables. I think I have enough to make one more sad little salad tonight.
And we've started doing dishes by hand because we're running out of dish tabs. We usually run our dishwasher every third day, and it started to be every day once we were all home.

Sour cream and tea are going faster than expected.
I'm going to have to go on a dog and cat food run by Thursday at the latest. Ugh.

Potatoes. We almost never eat potatoes, but, I grabbed a huge bag at Costco when they craziness hit, and we’ve been eating them baked, mashed, etc. we are all pretty sick of them, already.
We are eating fewer eggs. I am normally too busy to cook much, so, I end up doing eggs a lot for a cheap, fast protein. Now we are eating a nice dinner every night, and I even made pancakes this morning for my kids-who were completely shocked!

We are eating lots more eggs bread and bagels. We are usually eating fast food or in restaurants and that has all stopped. DH has breakfast out every morning. He misses it. I am out of practice meal planning.

When ds came home with part of his stuff when colleges moved to online, he brought home a Costco sized tub of M&M's. We didnt touch it for a week, but once we had to go move him completely home, dh and I cant stop.
