And what are you doing?
Easter is nonreligious in our house, so it's just about decorating eggs, egg hunt, candy baskets, & dinner.
Today i ordered some Easter candy from Wal-Mart.
I miss hand picking stuff in person, but i really want to stay at home.
Doing anything yet?

Not planning anything as I'm certain we will all still be on lock down/social isolation in UK. You'll be OK though as Trump said you'll all be up and running by Easter

WE usually have a big family dinner, but not this year.

Nah. We usually just get together with family and do an egg hunt for the "kids" at grandmas. We will do something when this does down. Maybe make it a father's day egg hunt

Nothing is planned yet, but I want to get on it this week. Mainly I want to figure out what we will be eating so I can start gathering it up a bit at a time when I find stuff in stock at the store.

Well, it is Lent, so yes. Our Easter is the 19th, but it is hard to imagine that it will be normal.

Nothing really yet. I picked up a couple little basket stuffers that I saw at Target a few weeks ago but nothing of any significance. And now that my kid is home 24/7 it will be harder to sneak anything in past her.

I ordered some eggs/candy with my Target pick up and then a couple of baskets items for my kids. I wasn’t sure if stores would still be shipping since our mall is closed but the items all arrived I yesterday. We are having trouble getting eggs so likely won’t be coloring this year.

I picked up IKEA flat pack chocolate bunnies a month and a half ago. I think that will be the extent of our Easter candy this year. It's ok. The kids are grown and don't need a basket full of chocolate.

Might hide a bunch of dog kibble around the house and let the dogs have an "Easter egg" hunt.

Nope...
Sadly this is the first year I was going to be able to travel to my mom's side of the family to celebrate with them in over 25 years. I never could go because of my old job working in an accounting firm. So this was going to be the new tradition to start going every year and getting reintroduced to everyone and all the new cousins. Guess it is really nothing compared to everything else going on in the world. But I am a little sad.
Back to shopping and whatnot, I was never the one to plan to far ahead.. so yeah.. I might start thinking about it a little earlier this year. I just have one little one to buy for. We don't do the adult kids.
And no big meal.. it will probably be just DD and myself.

I shall put out my decorations soon. Sometimes I put them out at the beginning of Lent, but sometimes wait until the week of Easter.

I sent boxes last week to my college students and my in-laws. They received them today, so that’s a relief. I still have my parents’ box here, as they aren’t sure if they will head home or stay at their place in Florida.
We observe Lent, so I won’t put out decorations until Holy Saturday. I have a forsythia Bush in my yard that is blooming and I have some in a jar in the house. It’s nice to see flowers again!
I’m doing a grocery run next week. Our supplies will be low by then and I’m hoping the stores will be stocked up. I want to do a big run and then not go out again for several weeks. I have some risk factors, so I’m choosing to stay in as long as possible. Belgium is bad right now and I’m hoping things will be a little better by next week. The commissary is only open during work hours and DH is already going in at 5 am and coming home at 8 or 9 at night. It would just take too much from his day to make a big grocery run, plus I’m exposed daily because he is still going to work. So that was the compromise we came up with.

I normally decorate the day after St Patricks. Not this year. I’ll try to plan something fun for my girls, but it makes me sad to miss Easter mass (probably because it’s the only one I go to in the year (yep, bad Catholic, bad)

I have a tabletop tree I decorate for holidays. I have some eggs with little toys coming from Amazon. I'm not sure they will get here in time, but my son is clueless about Easter. We don't do much besides fill baskets with candy and a few fun things.

I usually just buy my kids candy and color eggs. This year I might just make them cookies or something. Trying to cut down on candy buying because it never gets eaten.

I had already bought DGS10 a big container of Easter gummies I found at Cracker Barrel, and a swimsuit and rash guard for the trip to Destin in June that I will probably be canceling soon. I have Reese’s pb/chocolate bunnies for the girls. I’ll probably just add some extra cash to their cards this year and call it a day since it will be mailed this year 😢

Our Easter tradition is church and then a delicious brunch at a local winery. We have been every Easter for the past 11 years. Church will be online this year. It'll be different but that's OK. Suprisingly (and disappointingly if I'm being honest) the winery is still open but we won't be going unless something drastically changes between now and then. No way I am doing a buffet right now!
I will miss it. But we'll dress up in our Easter finery some other Sunday when this is all behind us and enjoy church and a great meal then.

I just do happened to have picked up a few things for ds before this all happened. We were going to have to spend Easter where his university is because it is so close to the end of the semester. Now we will be at home, so I dont know what we will do.

We usually celebrate with the grands. This year I’m making no plans at all. If things are REALLY better we can throw something together at the last minute.
The thing that is kind of frustrating is all my grandkids are out of school and I can’t see them, because I’m strictly quarantined to make I don’t get sick. Normally they come spend time here when they are out of school.
Better safe than sorry.

We start preparing for Easter about 40 days ahead of time with Lent. This has been an unusual Lent and I am preparing for an unusual Easter at home. I will miss the brass at church. But not the darn lilies I’m highly allergic.

We usually head out of town to visit family, but my Mom has already said they are cancelling. I'd hate to not see anyone since it's been since Christmas, but it's not worth the risk either.

I actually was just thinking about it this morning. I'm normally a last minute shopper but guess I'll be doing some online shopping this year. I'm guessing it'll just be us this year. My mom, even if we weren't social distancing, would probably be taking care of my grandmother and she is bedridden now.

I swung through our little local health food shop on Saturday to pick up some things to stock up my parent's house before they get home from Florida. The store had all kinds of Easter goodies out so I picked up a couple of little egg cartons with chocolate eggs in them for my two elementary school age kids. One of them had expressed a wish for coloring eggs, but I wasn't sure how easy it'd be to find white eggs, I snagged some plain cardboard eggs to help get free shipping on a WalMart order and placed a pickup order at Michaels for paints and brushes. I'm not sure about anything else.

I have several birthdays as well as Easter baskets in April and May so as soon as I heard inklings of things getting crazy, I ordered my gifts and basket stuffers. I’m ready!

Since there were rumors of a shelter in place happening (starts at midnight tonight), I picked up some candy at the grocery yesterday. They had a display of nicer quality chocolates and candy, so I grabbed some large chocolate shapes from France. Got a large chocolate Koi fish for DH (I'll tell him he can pretend it is a Brown Trout! ) and a 3 pc set for DD (a chicken, a rooster and an egg). They also had little clear plastic carrots filled with chocolate covered sunflower seeds that are orange. In my order last week from Bath & Body Works, I got the Easter foaming soap and the Easter tube of hand cream. Those are for DD. That's it for me. If I have time I might sew up a zipper pouch for DD as well.
