I was able to order two bidets two weeks ago. They are scheduled to be delivered next week. I'm looking forward to giving them a try and cutting down on the need for toilet paper.

My son’s friend raises rabbits LOL. I was thinking of that very joke when this thread popped up!

I have a pile of socks without matches. I suppose those could be used but I don’t anticipate things coming to that. Me too.

My husband came home with a box of shop towels from his garage. They’re thick blue paper towels that will take 2 layers off your butt if you need to use them as a substitute. You definitely can’t flush them.
I will be sure to use any alternative before these. 😂

I have never been more grateful to be on pain killers for life! If you are unaware, when you first start taking pain killers, you become terribly constipated. As time goes on, your body adjusts (plus you automatically adjust your diet to include as much fiber as possible out of memory of the constipation) and you are no longer constipated but when you do go, it is all rather firm and tidy and you don’t require much paper to clean yourself.
I’ve been on painkillers for over 10 years now and had forgotten what it was like without them until all this hoarding of TP came up and I realized that I don’t go through as much as other people due to my medication. Yeah opiates!

Bidet that attaches to toilet. Everything okay? You running out of tp? We don’t have any but haven’t had any for a few years. Though I did have a friend come over a couple months ago and she asked to bring anything and I said her own tp unless she’s comfortable with wipes. And she ended up bringing 4 rolls of tp lol and left them here because they were from her mom’s bathroom and she hates the feel of them. So I kept them for guests Incase anyone came over. But I guess boyfriend found them and I guess he started using them because all 4 rolls are mysteriously gone. If we still had them though I would have been giving them to neighbors around us. My shift at the grocery store starts at 6am tomorrow morning when we open. I haven’t opened in a long time and wonder if i will be witnessing the line of customers waiting outside for the few supply of tp we get in...if we even do tomorrow.

Whatever you use, just be sure not to flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. “Flushable” wipes cause a lot of sewer problems. Yeah I never flush the wipes

One more plea to NEVER flush anything but tp. We will have enough challenges as a society to deal with, we don’t need massive sewage backups.

My number one tip is: don't flush it if it's not tp. Otherwise, I am unconcerned about how you clean your parts.

So...if you use a peri-bottle or bidet, do you sit there until you air dry? 🤔

Baby wipes if they are available (that’s what our family has been using for a few years now) Arrange to take a shower during #1 time Those are my tips, what are yours? Do you mean #2 time? I pee several times a day. I don't have the time or patience for that many showers. 😳

Wipes cost way more than TP. It’s about a $1 or 2 per pack of 80 or so wipes. The tp at the store today was $25.99 for a 20 pack of charmin It says 80 rolls worth on it.

They soak up liquids so much better than regular paper towels.

I got a bidet! So far I love it. The water is cold because it’s a $50 add on not a heated fancy one incorporated into the seat.
And now I’m wondering, is TP back in stock in your area and did you have to resort to an alternative at any point?! I’ve been able to buy TP for a good month. Not always my preferred brand but there is usually some substitute.

Wipes are an environmental disaster whether you flush them or not. Please stop using them.

Not always my preferred brand but there is usually some substitute. We were already well stocked and were signed up for toilet paper on our Amazon Subscribe & Save. I think what happened was when they got it in stock they filled those orders first before they made it available to buy again because our orders have been late, but only canceled one month IIRC. So we were fortunate and the shortage didn’t affect us.

CVS has no limit on how many you can buy. Hand wipes are coming back. I was just at my local Target at about 11:00AM and they still had containers of Clorox wipes on the shelves. And no mad rush to buy what was remaining.
