Personally, I'm not very interested, and if I was her mother I would have talked her out of getting married so young.... BUT I know a lot of ladies here like her and I figured with all the other stuff going on this may not have made your news, and you might like something happy for a change...so here it is: LINK

Congratulations indeed.
I got married at 18, my mom could have not talked me out of it.

I had always wondered whether Robert would walk her down the aisle when she got married. I figured it would be him or Bob Irwin (the grandfather), but I think they're still estranged from him aren't they?

Very young, but they have been together for a long time. I wish them the best.

I'm glad they were able to have their wedding, even under less than ideal circumstances. I saw her with her dad when she was about 4 and I attended a live taping of the Oprah show. Can't believe she's old enough to marry!

I've been really impressed by her poise. I got married younger than she did, so I'm not worried about her age. I hope they are very happy.

I got married at 21, and am about to celebrate 24 years married, 27 together. It's not necessarily a bad thing for all people.
I'm very happy for her. She is a sweet girl with a good head on her shoulders and does awesome things for the wildlife in Australia. She has a great guy that loves her, and what she does, so I think they will do well together.

We’ve been very happily married for almost 27 years. I wish them the best.

I think they have a very specific lifestyle that not everyone can fit easily into. They live in a zoo and animals are their priority. He fits in and they have been together for a log time, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t get married even if by today’s standard she is on the younger side.
i Wish them love and happiness.

I’m happy for her. I was married youngish at 22. Not a single person mentioned my age, from family to caterers to florists. Sometimes it’s just clear to everyone you’re in love and meant to be. I wish her the best.

Maybe she got married so young because she knows a person can die at any age, so make the most of life while you still can.
I wish them both a lifetime of happiness.

I just read the article. I wish them a lifetime of happiness. But I just can’t get past the idea that weddings larger than the officiant, the couple, and two witnesses are banned, but school is still in session. What the heck? I remember this from before they closed the schools in Norway. Gatherings of more than 100 people were not allowed, but schools were open. And I thought: Have they ever been to a school? 500+ students in tiny classrooms and narrow hallways. Not remotely interested in following guidelines

But I just can’t get past the idea that weddings larger than the officiant, the couple, and two witnesses are banned, but school is still in session. What the heck? Yes, our state has decided that we will still teach till NEXT Friday and then staff will be required to go in for 4 pupil free days to work out online teaching options for next term. We will have two weeks of holidays after these pupil free days. Our numbers have decreased during the last week or so - my team (3 classes) had the highest attendance - approx. 20 per class but today (still the highest attendance!!) but only about 12 in each class. Some of the students told me that today was their last day - so they will have 3 weeks off from school. We will probably double up classes so we can start preparing online learning stuff early. Our govt is still saying it is safe for them to be there - we have several pregnant teachers who are entitled to special leave and finished up today. We are preparing for term 2 to be combination of online learning and in school learning for parents who wish to send their children and their is a big push to stay open for children of essential workers, particularly health care workers. Interesting times indeed!
