Ok, I've seen this somewhere within the past couple of days. I honestly don't know if it was here.
Someone, somewhere said that there is a series (I think) on Netflix that is like Harry Potter. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If so, please let me now the name of it.
Thanks!

Percy Jackson is a little similar. It’s about a school for demigods. I like HP better, but some people love Percy Jackson.

Lock and key maybe. I haven't watched it yet. There is also a show called the magicians it's not for little kids if I remember correctly. Both are on my to watch list.

I know His dark materials were described as the new Harry Potter. It’s not like Harry Potter exactly, but we enjoyed it.

Thanks! I'm so bummed I cannot find where I read it. Ugh...I thought I participated whether it be here or on Facebook. It's lost in cyber-space.

FYI just in case it is important to you, His Dark Materials is anti-God. The author Philip Pullman is an atheist. Harry Potter, whilst carefully not mentioning any form of religion, embodies all the good that Christianity and other religions teach. I haven't come across the others.

As a big HP fan, I couldn't get into the book/series, but my husband loves the show. If you were interested in reading a new series that is similar to HP, I'd recommend "Nevermoor" by Jessica Townsend. However, the 3rd one is not out until August. :X

it's got to be Locke and Key. I found this way creepier than Harry Potter. It was a pretty good series, but it couldn’t seem to make up its mind if it was a show for kids like HP or something like The Haunting of Hill House series. I would definitely preview it before showing it to younger kids.
