DH's company sells safety equipment, including masks, gloves, suits, goggles etc. Much of their inventory comes from overseas, including China.
He just got word that their Chinese supplier is raising the price of their goods by 250%. Seriously? Nothing like price gouging during a worldwide crisis. Capitalism at its most ugly.
Now DH is waiting on news as to what the company is going to do since he doesn't feel like they will give into this extortion and trying to figure out how to keep his people working if they start running out of inventory.
There is a special place in hell for some people.

I mean if it meant they paid their workers fairly then it might be worth considering but I somehow doubt the daily workers would see any of that increase

They've never been truly Communist. If they were Communist as it's written, everyone would have an equal slice of the pie. They're an authoritarian government that plays extreme favoritism and only gives people rights based on their whims.
