I'm not sure about dinner, just yet. I think the guys want to order a pizza. We're trying to support our mom and pop businesses. If not, I'll make ham casserole and salad. It's up to the guys.
What's on your menu?
Do the best you can to find something to enjoy today.
Many ((((hugs)))) and happy thoughts to my favorite dinner tribe.

Hi scrapmaven!
I haven't decided on dinner yet. I'm expecting a box from Imperfect Foods today so I will see what I ordered and go from there. I still haven't decided on lunch yet either. My brain says eat salad. My belly says eat leftover pizza. So...there's that. I'll probably let my brain win today.
I'm working from home but things have been slow. I am usually heading into my second audit right now but with us being at home, it's limiting what we can provide to auditors for audit. So I'm loving the break from those vultures.
I've been listening to my PNP tribe all morning. I'm trying to get recommitted to my weight loss efforts. I basically haven't lost anything in two weeks and I want to get back on the horse.
I'm hoping my new yarn comes soon. I'm really looking forward to my next project. Once Jeremy gets home today, I will post pictures of my latest creation. It's blocked and dried right now.
Can you tell I'm missing conversation? I'm trying desperately here to start some conversation so we can be a community outside of coronavirus. I'm missing humans.

Good Morning ladies!
BLT's for dinner here tonite, I have some tomatoes and bread that need to be used. I never seem to have all the fixings for BLT's at the same time, so taking advantage of the opportunity.
I'm spending the day making face masks , I was hesitant to make them, that I'm late to the party( bad pun) but decided yesterday, that I have a lot of fabric that this would be a good use for. I'm hoping to have them finished in a few days, so I'm open to ideas of where to donate them,
Have a great day everyone!

Tonight's dinner will be chicken curry. I think Indian style, with aubegine and cauliflower as well. We will also have rice, and maybe naan bread, if we have any.
Today was my uncle's funeral back in Australia. Even if I had been there, I wouldn't have been able to attend, due to the restrictions currently in place there. If you pray, please keep my aunty Barb and her family in your prayers - it must have been so difficult for them all.

I keep hearing about this...what is it?? It is a company that ships mostly imperfect produce. Think the ugly kind of produce. Last week I got grapes and oranges that were ridiculously small. They tasted fine, but weren't suited for grocery stores where people are looking for perfection.

I ran across some 25+ year old recipes from co-workers back in the day. My BFF to this day gave me a simple Mexican casserole recipe. I remember the first time I tried it, I told her it was weird because it was pink. "Pink? ? How could it possibly be pink?" she asked. From the enchilada sauce, I said. "What? It should be green!" She used green enchilada sauce, I used red. I text her a picture of the recipe this morning and told her I was having pink Mexican casserole for dinner today. We had a good laugh at the memories. Find a random memory from way back that will make you smile and share it with a person in the memory. Have a good day, Peas. Stay well. Hugs to all.e ETA: I was cleaning out a cupboard this morning and found a box of Dream Whip and chocolate pudding. Have milk that needs to be used, so made the dream whip (yikes - it is full of bad crap) and folded it into the pudding that I added almond extract and espresso powder to. Pretty tasty.

We're having spaghetti with the sauce I made yesterday. Green salad and garlic bread. My dad always told people that when he married my mom he told her he wanted her to make something for dinner from scratch. Claimed she went to the grocery store and couldn't find any scratch. He loved telling it and she would just roll her eyes.

Hi Everyone! sueg Sending prayers and my sympathies to your Aunt Barb and her family and to you and your family. On Saturday I had a Zoom get together Online with my girlfriends in California and scrapped. It was so wonderful for me. But now that’s all I wanna do. I have to do things around this house because with all of us home all the time even though we’re not going outside it’s still needs to be picked up, Wiped down, vacuumed and mopped. And let’s not even talk about the amount of pajamas we go through that need to be laundered. I just took out of the freezer a family pack of chicken thighs. YDS wants chicken enchiladas for dinner tonight. I will use some for the chicken enchiladas. But I want to use the rest for other meals. Do any of you have a good recipe for homemade fried rice? My ODS would like myself and my YDS (3 of us) to make homemade fried rice for dinner. I am praying for all of you to say healthy, happy, and safe.

Funny, cadoodlebug . Both of my grandmothers were amazing cooks and bakers. My parents never learned to cook, because their mothers did it all. So, when my parents first married, my mother made steak and a baked potato. It wouldn't bake and after 3 nights they finally threw the potatoes out. She neither poked holes in them, nor did she bake them for more than a few minutes. I guess you have to give her credit for trying. She did learn to cook and my dad's mother helped to teach her. She became a very good cook and her baked goods were delicious. She even made good baked potatoes. jeremysgirl , we have this thread to keep us company. Now that the boys are doing online classes and dh is very busy w/work I'm back to square one. Your produce delivery company has the right idea. I really miss salad and fresh fruit. You'd think I'd miss junk food, but I don't. I want a fresh salad w/grilled chicken. Yum! I tried a few bites of canned pear, because it's low residue and that was a huge mistake.
sueg, my prayers go out to your aunt, family and you. May your uncle's memory be for a blessing to all who knew him.
lucyg, I should get my sister to fed-ex me her matzoh balls. She makes the best chicken soup and matzoh balls every passover.

I got my first box 2 weeks ago and all the produce was in my opinion normal lol I got carrots, yellow squash, cucumbers, butternut squash, radishes, green onion. Nothing was wrong. Not small. Not odd shaped. 🤷🏼♀️ I was like okay...must have been over produced and extra stock?

It's a cool and rainy day here, so I was up early to get my walk in before the rain started up.
I'm online now TRYING to learn how to do my first Flipgrid project for students. I'm actually missing those little turkeys and really missing my colleagues.
Dinner will be tacos: ground beef for him and back bean for me.
sueg thinking of your family today.

we have this thread to keep us company. Thank goodness. we need to keep the conversation going because I'm avoiding facebook today and I'm avoiding most threads on the first page here. I haven't received anything that I wouldn't eat. Some really weird shaped potatoes? Tasted delicious. destined2bmom, for fried rice you want lucyg.

Went to IG and even that turned out to be a dud because of Jordan Page's post and story. Dear Lord... Because of PTSD from ds' medical issues posts like that trigger me and then I just get pissed at how damn stupid some people are.

It's a cool and rainy day here, so I was up early to get my walk in before the rain started up. The weather is the same here today too. I was hoping it might clear up because I've been neglecting my exercise and I really want to put on my running shoes and shake off some negative energy today.

Good morning tribe. Today I was thinking it was Friday... whoops. Guess my Monday was a long one! 🤣. I telework so my days stay somewhat busy. Dh just told me he thinks he has to shut down his business now and lay off his one employee and try to collect unemployment himself. Sigh.
Tonight I am thinking spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread and a very small sad salad with the little bit of lettuce left.
On the plus side, I couldn’t place an online order with Kroger/fred meyer last night - said there were no spots - but this morning I got the last spot for 4/7 one week from today. I have plenty of food so that is fine. I just wanted fresh produce and stuff for dh’s requested birthday dinner which is on 4/7! So once I pick up in the late afternoon (the only spot) I’ll hurry and throw his cake in the oven and start working on making the sourdough bread and Cioppino he requested. It sounds so good! 😀

One of my good friends moved yesterday and I helped her move some fragile items in my car (because she doesn't have one) ... I hate moving with a passion so this was a sacrifice for me She's sweet so I didn't mind Today I'm just hanging out ... no real plans to do much other than surf the net and watch TV ... I'm still on Spring Break which is awesome I'm thinking of ordering a pizza for dinner tonight ... my weekly pizza

Woke up to a sunny day and an in a much better frame of mind. Thank goodness! jeremysgirl Last night I dug out a knitted Afghan I’ve been working on for like 8 YEARS! Maybe during quarantine I’ll actually finish it! Tonight trying a recipe I saw on a blog. It’s Mexican Alfredo chicken pasta. It sounds good for some weird reason but could end up a fail. Lol

sueg I’m so sorry for your loss. The weather was nice today; the sun was shining and we didn’t have that cold wind either. DD and I took Leo for a long hike in the forest, and he slept for hours afterwards. The good thing about remote schooling is being able to take a three hour lunch break. Dinner? Spicy chicken and Even spicier potato wedges.
