Good news from the University of Pittsburgh! I hope the link works.
From the article linked below:
"University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine scientists announced a potential vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, the new coronavirus causing the COVID-19 pandemic. When tested in mice, the vaccine, delivered through a fingertip-sized patch, produces antibodies specific to SARS-CoV-2 at quantities thought to be sufficient for neutralizing the virus."

Great news! Hope it’s a big success. Me too! Pitt researcher Jonas Salk discovered the polio vaccine, so how wonderful if they discover a vaccine for Covid 19 as well! It's been all over our local news! The NIH gave them a $4.9 million grant last month. Just think what medical researchers could do if only given more money. This is a great example.

This is greatly needed positive news. And I’m going to brag a bit as one of my former students is on this research team at Pitt. I’m very proud of her!

Have to look for the positive when we are inundated with the negative. Thanks for posting.

I wish continued success to this research team. My daughter is in Pitt's nursing school, and my husband and I are both alumni!

While it's good news, that still doesn't mean it's imminent. They had a researcher/immunologist (I forget her exact credentials) on a news show here the other night and she was saying that even with trials going ahead right now a "quick" vaccine is still 12-18 months away...I'll see if I can find the link Can't find the interview video yet...but here's another article LINK
