We just had a state update. One of the reporters asked about summer and large groups. He stated that things should be cancelled.
Fauci said yesterday he hopes schools can return to normal in the Fall.
One of the Chicago stations tracked a person who has it. That person has successfully infected 15 people. That one person did it by sharing a meal with others and then they passed it on and so on.....
Oh gads.....

I think it will be far longer lasting than we imagine. I expect a huge resurgence when the quarantines are lifted. I’ll be staying home.

Pritzker talked about how they are going to transition us back to normal to prevent a new surge. They don’t know what it will look like yet, but he said we can’t just drop the stay at home and go back all at once.

I am personally very tired of trying not to get it. I wish I could get antibody tested to see if I have immune titres. Certainly I've been exposed.
Some people are getting titres done but it's not widely available yet.
(Now watch me die of Covid for posting this!)

I agree it has to be gradual or parents will become the teachers for quite awhile! Let alone the medical people involved with all of this.
It doesn’t make sense to me to just open various counties as I think people will just go there.

My DH and two of his friends host a gathering of friends in Chicago every year. It was suppose to be the first week of June this year. DH was saying they should cancel as they were group conferencing the other day. His NYC friend said no, he was going, he had his ticket, etc. etc. I was just like "dumba$$". I think he thought everything would be fine by then. DH said he wasn't attending this year. I wonder if his NYC friend will still fly into Chicago. Michigan's alert system just went off 15 minutes ago. The Stay at Home order is in effect until April 30th. I think they're piecemealing it so people don't have a conniption. I liked your post because of this: I am personally very tired of trying not to get it. I wish I could get antibody tested to see if I have immune titres. Certainly I've been exposed. not because of this: (Now watch me die of Covid for posting this!) Knock on wood or something!

My employer started us working from home on 3/13. They saw what was happening and decided to be proactive. They keep extending it even before Governor Pritzker extended the IL order. My boss and I were talking (via Skype) that we think our employer will have a phased in approach to coming back into work once the order is lifted.
Selfishly, I hope that it’s better in fall. I know their could be a resurgence, but DH has a milestone birthday and we had a nice trip set up. I’m still hoping we will be able to go.
I agree with others; there should be a test soon to test for antibodies ( I used to work in a lab so I know it may be a while yet until it’s ready). I really think I had it in February. I had most symptoms for almost two weeks; I only got a fever two weeks in. It was 100.7 but considering my normal temp is about 96 that’s huge for me. I don’t think I’ve ever had a fever over 99 in my life. Took another ten days before I felt better. Doctor told me it was a sinus infection and it was before there was much concern so I really didn’t have COVID on my mind as a possibility then.

It would be nice for DH to be able to come out of the back of the house when he is home. He is pretty sure I had it right as things closed, so that means I would have exposed at least him and yds if not ods. Plus DH is dealing with it daily with all of his patients.
