We have had another day of the same old! I went for a walk, DH did the regular Saturday grocery shop, and we’ve both lounged around reading and watching TV - I’ve added in some knitting too. Dinner here tonight is turkey breast on the grill, with potato and green salad. DH said today was very much a ‘we eat what we can buy’ day at the supermarket, with a couple of things he was looking for being totally out of stock. Hopefully, it was just a busy Saturday between public holidays and not a sign of things to come. Happy Easter from the cutest little bunny: And an Easter message from my dad: ‘Happy Easter to everybody. Eat lots of chocolates - won't stop the virus, but believe me they don't give you chocolates in Intensive Care !’

Oh seriously sueg she's adorable. I've been up since 4 am. I slept great. I just fell asleep at 8:45. I had 1.5 glasses of wine. Friday treat for me. I've done three loads of laundry, baked high protein, high fiber, low taste chocolate muffins, ran 1.6 miles (12 minute mile is my personal best), cleaned the bathroom, crocheted three rows on my afghan, and watched Jesus Christ Superstar. Is it nap time yet? Tonight's dinner will be the teriyaki beef I did not make last night.

I am going to finish making chicken spaghetti for my sister, and really, everyone. I’ll make 3-4 pans of it and spread them around the family. I cooked the chicken the other day and made broth, but then I ran out of steam. So hopefully, dinner tonight will be chicken spaghetti. Also breakfast and dinner tomorrow. Possibly Monday as well. LOL I’m also planning to make scrapmaven ’s raspberry lemon pound cake today, before my raspberries rot. ETA sueg, she is just adorable.

Hello ladies!
Well I mastered gluten free pasta in one try and used my Kitchenaid pasta press attachment.
Baked gluten free allergy friendly madeleines and brownies.
Got the 2 teens set up on their chromebook and laptop for school and helped with non mandatory meet/zoom meetings. -let me just say the sdc kids are going to come out of this with mild to significant regression as far as IEP goals. It was a shit show for ds.-
Took the two shih tzus to the vet for their monthly cytopoint allergy injections.
Today the sun is out FINALLY after 5.5 days of solid non stop rain. Made breakfast for the family (gf pncakes and bacon).
Tonight for dinner is fix it yourself! Dd will most likely have tuna. I am craving a good salad. Dh ?

sueg, your little Sophia is just beautiful. She's so sweet. I'm sure you miss her lots. jeremysgirl, you've earned the rest of the weekend for fun. lucyg, I want to take credit, but it's a Pioneer Woman recipe. It's easy to make and very yummy. It bakes best if you line the pan w/parchment paper. I'm enjoying a bit of time watching nothing important and yakking w/dh. I'm also trying to find a Switch. I posted about it in the Party thread. I have a boring group of guys who don't enjoy board games. BOO! So, I'm thinking that a Switch will get us playing together. PS4 games are not my thing. I crave social interaction that doesn't consist of, "clean up your socks from the living room". I'll puzzle if I am up to it, as well. I'm going to make a banana cake and Tuscan bean stew. We have bananas that look perfect for a cake or bread for afternoon snack or dessert. If you feed them they will come. Enjoy your weekend tribe. Thank you for the thread, my partner in crime, leannec. Thank you for starting it the past 2 days, as well.

We woke to an unseasonably cold morning, so we slept in, read, and watched TV this morning. Now in the early afternoon, it's warming up. DH is out puttering in the barn and I'm about to go outside to so some weeding. Let the good times roll!
Dinner will be sloppy joes and fruit salad.

It is homemade pizza night at our house. We are trying to beat the rain and get the yard work done. I'm trying my hand at hot cross buns (proofing now) and if I feel energetic enough might make some pretzels with my sourdough starter.

ETA: Okay,I lied again... we're having hot dogs on the grill and I don't know what else.

We laugh so hard! Today I’m finished my new spice organization I bought off Amazon. I washed all the jars last night. Today I’ll pull all the spice bottles out of the cabinet and decant then into the new jars. Deep scrub the cabinet and organize what’s left. I know I know ladies. Exciting stuff right?!? Tonight I’m getting curbside pick up from Texas Roadhouse. I am craving steak and baked potato! Ooh and fried pickles with ranch. Man my Okie is really showing now!

what a cutie, Sueg.
I made a big casserole dish of baked mac & cheese with cubes of ham in it last night. We're having leftovers tonight.
I've been parked on my arse all day in front of the TV. I expect the rest of the day will be the same.

Swiss Chalet has an email special that you put in a code (EMAILF5D) and then you will get 2 chickens, 4 rolls and 4 sides & 2 containers of sauce, so DS is going to pick this up and then put a chicken breast in a container & some salad. We will zoom dinner together. I made spaetzel for the family that he will pick up at my place as well as raisin buns and blueberry pie.
PSA to Canadian Peas: Maple Leaf Foods Chicken processing plant has had workers come in contact with Covid-19. The plant has been shut down for intensive cleaning. Chicken may be difficult to find in the next bit. If you see some fresh chicken, buy it while you can.

When each son turned 18 I gifted them with their own deck of Cards Against Humanity; however, I won't play w/them, because of the cringe factor. Mom said THAT! We used to love Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot. Alas, mom is not as much fun as their friends. I get it.

Well, DH cut DS's hair. Luckily he has a lot of baseball caps to wear. He cut the bottom back of mine and honestly, it's how I've WANTED stylists to cut it all along! Then I cut the bottom back of DH's hair and did a good job. Now DS wishes I had cut his.

My husband is making Peruvian food tonight, I'm hoping it will be good. I love Peruvian cuisine AND my Peruvian man. I played Betrayal at House on the Hill on a tabletop simulator with my dd and her girlfriend for 4 hours. We chatted on video call while we played. It was fun (but very complicated), but man am I tired now. You wouldn't think sitting in bed would do that, but it does. I can't believe Easter is tomorrow. We're not doing the typical ham and stuff big dinner. We WILL have jellybeans!

WELL. Apparently the raspberries took my dare and got moldy. So I thought hard, and decided to add a can of mandarin oranges in with my lemon pound cake. Orange-lemon pound cake. It is in the oven and hopefully will be as delicious as raspberry-lemon, if not as pretty. ETA now I want jellybeans!
