My favourite dish is a big bowl of spaghetti calabrese. It has lots of crispy garlicky breadcrumbs, crunchy broccoli, juicy sultanas, lots of parsley, and the spaghetti is coated with a reduction of anchovy paste and extra-virgin olive oil, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. It's delicious hot or cold. I haven't made it for ages!

Except people would be afraid of eating what others brought because they don't know how clean their kitchens are or how their food safety practices are.

I would love that! I would bring a dessert of some kind. I also have a few sips that are good.

Hadn't thought of a potluck, but it would be fun. I barely posted at original site, but the timing here has been just right. Lately most of my potluck dishes have been ones I've read here. I'd have to bring something new- dibs on utensils and plates?

It all sounds good - and it's making me hungry!! I could add my sausage rolls to that list to provide some finger food and an English Trifle to add to the desserts.

Pies are my specialty, so I think I'd go all American and bring two piping hot Apple pies... tender flaky crusts, juicy, tender apples flavored with lots of sugar and cinnamon, topped with french vanilla ice cream. I'm hungry, can you tell?

Jayfab-we will need the recipe for that. You can't mention Nutella and not give the recipe. I think it's Refupea rule [HASH]1027. I would bring funeral sandwiches or oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

Someone needs to bring cottage pie and Yorkshire pudding. It's the early hours here in the UK so most people are asleep! Maybe one of the other UK Peas will suggest bringing that when they wake up!

I would bring my grandmother's skillet fried chicken. We don't deep fry our chicken. We fry our chicken in a bit of oil in a cast iron skillet. This method creates a delicious crust on the chicken. When I do large batches, I keep the chicken warm on cake racks in the oven.
I'm best known for my desserts. I'd bring a huge Southern pound cake and my Reese's Rival--homemade peanut butter bars.
I think we should have a corresponding recipe thread in the recipe section.

I will bring my famous "floor Frittata" (with Uncrustables for the germaphobes). I think it will go nicely with the Sidewalk Cupcakes. I expect you will all wear kitten heels (no pajama pants allowed). And I think we should schedule it for a Thrusday, just to be consistent.

I know we already have a lot of desserts listed but everyone loves my Hawaiian Wedding cake so I'll bring that. I would also bring some Keilbasi from the Keilbasi shop in town. It's so good people come from out of state to get some for Easter and Christmas.

Yeah, bagged salad and uncrustables. And, since I hate to cook I might not actually be kidding about that. But okay, if I have to bring something I'll bring wine.

I'll bring a lochshen kugel (kind of a noodle pudding that can be served hot or cold). I make a lactose-free version with cottage cheese and yogurt, plus crushed pineapple and raisins. Or maybe I'll make the apple kind--or both!

If anyone really wants a Yorkshire pudding I do a mean one of those. No choice my OH is a Yorkshireman. I will also bring Picnic Pie (own recipe) which basically is pastry, sausagemeat, sage and onion stuffing, onions and apple sauce.
