Curious, are you or do you know someone (besides healthcare workers) who is going to work just like they used to before all of this? Not working from home, but going to an office on a daily basis? What changes are at the office and what do you or they do?

I am - though our hours are reduced. We are sanitizing regularly and keeping a safe distance from each other. I wash my hands whenever I go out back to the production floor and come back to our area (I have a beverage station with a sink on the wall directly behind me so it's easy/convenient.) I spray down my keyboard, mouse, and desk before I leave every day as well. We just got some hand sanitizer from the local distillery, so I carry one in my pocket just in case.
ETA: I work in the printing industry (we have mostly medical/insurance clients) and it's impossible for me to be a project manager from home for more than a day here and a day there.

I don't, but DH's work is desperate to get everyone back in the office. They are essential but I have no idea why they want to reopen- they can work remotely with no issue. They might need one or two in the office to man some things.
They keep updating them on the "exciting plans" to figure out how to reopen and how it will happen sooner than they think.
New management got rid of work from home a couple of years ago, which was not a popular move (unless you are sick and would otherwise take time off, then it is ok). They cited a list of reasons despite the fact their "efficiency audits" repeatedly showed that everyone works more efficiently and longer from home. This is kinda flying in the face of all those arguments and the longer it goes on, the harder it will be to transition them back to micro managed seat warming.

I have a friend who is a financial planner, and he still goes into his office. Everyone there has their own office, and they are not allowing clients to come in to see them in person, they are doing all client meeting via zoom. When he goes to the office, he doesn't see anybody, and he stays in his office with the door shut.

I still go into the office I would guess our building is 4 to 6,000 sq ft. and I’m only one of two people going into the office. Myself and the other lady are using two separate entrances using two separate bathrooms and we are actually on two different sides of the building to begin with. Everybody else in the office is working from home. This way I can still bring in the mail and print checks if need be. I don’t mind being the one to go in and take care of that. My kids are college-age and I live like six minutes away, a lot of my coworkers that are working from home have young kids that are also at home with them it’s just easier for me to do it.
Edited to add: We do not get public or customers at our building. I put out a basket for the mail and a sign that says to leave mail/deliveries (we get fedex offer) unless they need a signature then to ring the buzzer and I’ll let them in. I work for a life insurance company but in the accounting side of things. The other lady works in the insurance side of things and she needs to print and mail out a lot of notices and other ins related things.
This is the fifth week we have been working this way.

I am. I work in a law office of approx. 45 people. There are now three of us who come in every day. Everyone else is working form home. We were going to rotate who was coming in but decided we were more comfortable with the same 3 as we are all very aware of the distance rules and are very good at sanitizing have gotten into a pretty good routine. My dh works nights in transportation so he is still home sleeping during the day. Both kids 16 and 20 are doing school from home so I am more than happy to come into work.

My cousin is going to work daily, they were even in mandatory overtime for the past few weeks. She works for a company that makes take out containers. Unfortunately 10 people in her plant have turned up with COVID-19 and the company has decided to end overtime. However, she is still going to work full time every day.

DH has 4 or 5 co workers that are still going to their office on a daily basis. Other than to print their drawings and plans, I have no idea why.

I am. My hours are actually 5:45-3:30 Monday through Thursday and 6:00-10:00 on Friday. It’s a 40 hour week and about 95% of us are showing up every day. I work for a defense contractor and we’re considered essential.
Edited to add I work in a large room with about 40 people. There are about 150 people total in my facility. There’s no option for most of us to wfh.

I still am working 9 to 4 Mon-Fri. It is a flooring store but I have the showroom closed. I still have to be here to answer phones & take deliveries. We are still installing in new construction only. No measures unless it's vacant.

This is like what my sister is doing.. She goes in every morning, gets the mail, does her thing (but I guess she really isn't 9-5) She goes in around 7am and out of there around noon and does the rest of her work at home. I am working a modified 9-5.. so yeah not the same but I am working 7-5, no lunch, 10 hours a day (eat at desk), 3 days a week.. pretty much lock myself in my office as there are people all over. I try not to go anywhere but sometimes that is impossible as part of my job is going to the medical clinic. But I avoid doing that as much as possible.

We have one person who continues to go into the office. She does the majority of the property management side of the business. The office is closed to customers but she goes everyday to get the mail, receive payments (clients deposit into a secure mailbox) and shipments. She has a teen DD at home but asked if she could continue to come in because working from home didn’t appeal to her. I drive by a couple times a week and stop to knock on her window and wave and try to call her a couple times a week to say “hi”. She’s relatively new to our team so I don’t know her super well but I figure she has to be kind of lonely. Our office environment is very much like a family and I know others have stopped to wave as well.
DH is going about business as normal for the most part, except he works from home most of the time anyway. They did receive notice yesterday that travel has been suspended for the rest of 2020.

Me! I work for a small security firm (only five employees). We are considered an essential service. We don't allow walk in traffic and anyone out in the field wears gloves and masks.

Half of my office is remote and the other half are in the office. We are an essential service. Everyon has their own office and for zoom meetings, everyone is using a separate device (for the first few, they were using 2 laptops). No lunches together.

DD19 works for a dealership as a cleaner/detailer and she's still working her regular hours. Thankfully her building is separate from the main building so even less people she is in contact with and they are letting vechiles sit for 24 hours between her and the mechanics working on them.
DH works in the oilfield and it's regular hours, about to slow down soon because of the spring mud as usual.

My husband is a civil engineer and you can't build roads or repair bridges from home. They have altered as much as they can about how they do their jobs, but the jobs are going on nonetheless.

I am. I could work 40 hours a week if I wanted, but to keep people in the halls from bumping into each other, or having to scale the walls when passing people, I'm only working three days a week. I work in a state veterinary diagnostic lab. They've given us 128 hours of Covid leave. If the social distancing continues past those hours we have to use our own leave.

My husband is. Most people in the main office are working from home but the big boss wants someone from every department in the building. I think the cleaning crew is paying special attention to the bathrooms and the break room.

I work at a food production facility so everyone is still working as normal apart from me. We have about 50 staff at the site I’m at and I’m the only one who can work from home. Everyone else works in the actual factory so need to be there. I do need paperwork at the end of the week so I go in when everyone has finished on a Friday, collect it and take it home to work on.
The company has quite a few factories around the country and they are all running as normal but all admins and senior management in head office are working at home like me.

DH is - almost all of the office staff are working from home except for IT and the engineering supervisor (him) and the engineering manager. The factory workers are still working on the lines.
Masks are required and they have to take their temperature twice a day

I'm still working normal hours in the office. My company is construction and repair for the AG and food milling industry so we are considered essential. We had several of our grain milling customers tell us we can't close, as we keep them running. If they shut down, it can cost them a million dollars a day. I can work from home, but it is harder. My boss said if I am not comfortable coming in, I can go home, but so far we are all keeping our distance from each other and we really don't get walk ins so I'm fine going in each day. I clean and disinfect each day and I have my own office I lock up each night.
