Lands End Kohls Lane Bryant but it’s hit or miss and the recent stuff I looked at “before covid” was miss.

I'm a sucker for graphic tees from places like Tee Public that get advertised heavily on Facebook. It's one of the very few places that makes cute/funny graphic tees in a "curvy v-neck" style that suits my figure. Most of the other places that have that fit print cliche things like "Shine" or "Blessed" on their tees. No thank you. I like funny pop culture references or sarcastic comments on my tees, TYVM. Well, shit! I've fallen down the rabbit hole! If I order a women's v neck, and I usually wear a large, how much should I size up?

That I do not know as I order the "curvy v-neck" for plus sizes, but I find their sizing chart to be accurate.

I hate buying clothes. There, I said it. When I have to buy something I usually go look at Costco, Duluth Trading or Kohl’s.

I don't buy clothes very often. When I do, it's usually from Kohls. The last thing i got there was a pair of pajama pants off the clearance rack for about $5. I like Kohls because I can find a deal there with coupons, etc. I have ordered shoes from shoes.com too. I hardly ever buy clothes for myself. Especially winter clothes. I don't know when the last time I bought any.
I also like Kohl's for shorts and t-shirts. Also Target for t-shirts. Before I had kids (22 yrs. ago) I was always buying clothes for myself! And makeup. I am the opposite of my younger self!

Being tall, average weight, with a smaller chest I have an extremely hard time finding clothes that fit well. My go to stores are 1. Old Navy hit or miss on tops 2. JJill for jeans 3. JCPenney for work pants and shorts/capris 4. Kohl’s although their quality has really gone downhill
The top 3 stores I would shop from if their stuff fit 1. Loft 2. Old Navy 3. Target

1. Athleta 2. Athleta 3. Athleta!
It’s my favorite store!! But when I have to get out of my cute Athleta wear, I shop Nordstrom. There is no third!

Twist (I buy 85% of my clothes / shoes at this small boutique that carries whatever I need. They help me put outfits together and know what i already own so help me use the older and newer clothes together. They carry my fav brands. Love! I have a pair of pants that should be arriving today!).

I have been at Lane Bryant loyal list for years. My closet consists of mostly only their clothes. However the past few months I’ve been struggling to find anything I like. I have also recently discovered Loft, because they have plus sizes, although their pants are too short. I am an 18/20.
1) Lane Bryant. Love their pants- many come in Tall lengths. 2) Loft 3) Torrid (tops only)

I need a petite top (I'm 5 foot, 3 inches) because I'm short waisted, with narrow shoulders and short arms, but can usually wear regular pants depending on the inseam which often varies quite a bit these days. Often petite pants are too short for me. Lots of stores don't even offer petite sizes like Title 9 and I love their clothes.
So for me my choices are:
For pants I have the most luck at Talbots. I also like them for dresses which I need in petite sizes. Luckily Talbot's has every style in petite, regular and plus sizes. Something I really love about this store. I usually have a hit or miss regarding tops but that's usually because of style (mine vs. theirs) and because they like to make their sweaters and t-shirts end at hip length which to me even in the petite sizes are much too long.
For tops like tees I like LLBean although I must say for the past 3-4 years their quality has gone down like most of the clothing shops in the USA. I also get my outdoor clothing at LLBean and exercise clothing.
For bathing suits it's Title 9 because they offer bra sizing in some of their swim suits. I much prefer this and wonder why don't more (I know there are a few, but not many) clothing shops offer this? It makes so much sense! I wear a 36DD so for me it makes a big difference to have a bra top sizing where I know my boobs will be supported.

RW&CO love their work clothes and their casuals. I hate wearing dresses but love how they look and only place I’ve been able to find dresses I don’t fidget in (pockets!)
Bootlegger for casual tees and jeans Lucky Brand - don't have one nearby but always hit up lucky when we are in Vancouver for their Bohemian style summer clothes.
