My friend is in this one! www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wvV6wdXM_M He's tall and in orange plaid shirt and orange shorts! He posted the link the other night and told us that they had filmed for 18 hours on that cement floor and that Richard was yelling at everyone because they were making so many mistakes and he was in serious pain. Richard ended up having his knee surgery the next day, but didn't tell anyone during filming! |

Ha. I did so many of those when I was young.
I was always terribly uncoordinated and it seems that nothing has changed- as I just did that 10 minute workout with disastrous results.

I used to have some of these. This my friend may become my workout as it just cannot seem to warm up enough to go outside here! Thanks for sharing.

Holed up at home. Apparently his surgery didn't go very well and his health had been declining. My friend (who is in the videos) said that they took classes from him regularly and after that video and his surgery, he kept postponing classes and eventually just closed that studio with no word or anything. There was some talk out there that he was being held against his will, but I think he ended up doing some sort of interview after police showed up to do a well check visit. He seems to be just a cranky old man now. |

I love his shoulder rolling!  And imagine a lot of overweight people not being able to keep up with Richard! What a tool! I'm saying this as an overweight person. |

I watched Splash last night on Disney+ and there's a scene where Daryl Hannah is doing a Richard Simmons workout in front of the TV display at Bloomingdales. Talk about old school! That was 1984.
