I think you're right, it might be worth it. But I usually just flip them over and use the white on the other side. It's rare that I'll end up with a two sided paper that I don't like either side of, but it has happened (like at a tag sale where there are a bunch of sheets bundled together.) I like the idea of painting paper, but I have a hard time dealing with it when it curls. I'm not much of a stamper. What kind of ink would you recommend? Do you think the paper would curl much? I'd assume that the paper would warp somewhat if you used a wet paint/medium, although a thin wash of gesso over it first might help, but you would probably lose more of the pattern in the process. I'm not a fan of warped or curling paper either. I know some people don't care since it tends to flatten in the album, or some people just back with cardstock to stabilize it. I would try using distress or distress oxide ink (or a similar ink that can be used for blending - scrapbook dot com hybrid inks would work, I think, and some other inks like Catherine Pooler's) and blend it into the paper with a blending brush or foam tool. You can build up color gradually - I think it would work more like tinting over the top of the existing color rather than completely covering it. I haven't tried it though! Maybe I should do an experiment on some pink scraps. I have some mini dye ink pads that are drying out, so I ran them over some colored pp, and the papers didn't curl. They weren't sopping wet though either, as the color didn't cover completely, but it left a nifty texture and definitely changed their appearances. I actually had better luck rubbing chalks over the paper (and no curling.)

I love lavender and turquoise. Pink is ok but I do get tired of it.

I love pink and even I think it’s over used in collections. As far as replacements go I think they should just release different collections with different colors. If a company is going to release 3 why can’t each highlight a different color family?

There is NO such thing as too much pink! I would have pink everything in my home if I was allowed so I agree, also glitter everything I say I love bright colours like Aqua, Orange, Lime Green, Fuchsia and orchid are personal favourites, also I love a lavender however I do not always scrapbook with those colours. I tend to do either really girly layouts or outdoor travel pages so those pages tend to use a lot of dusty blues, navy, sage greens, light yellow, browns and kraft cardstock.
