Ok. This is the 5th time I've tried to post this thread. My computer is on it's last legs and I'm going to make do until my new one arrives. SO, I'm making chicken meatballs with tomato sauce and salad. What's on your menu?
I'll make this short in case my computer freezes, again. Do one thing today that makes you feel good. It's really important, because we're in an unsteady time and dwelling only makes it worse. It's a good thing to do something enjoyable. I wish I could send happiness to our entire tribe. If I could I would. ((((HUGS)))) to those that are hurting.

Our dinner tonight will be steak and assorted grilled vegetables. That means DH is in charge of cooking.
Today, I have been knitting and reading, which both make me happy. Not much else going on here. We also got hot with the official announcement today that Oktoberfest will be canceled this year. It was not unexpected, but it really brings home the scale of this virus problem, that they are canceling such a big event in the life of our city so far out.

Hi Everyone! floridasunflower Happy Birthday! scrapmaven I hope your new computer arrives soon. I have never made chicken meatballs. I may have to try it in the future. sueg Your dinner sounds great. Especially when your DH is making it for you! Enjoy your day. Today I am giving myself a facial and touching up my roots. Last night I ordered a UV nail lamp and different items to do my nails from home. I also put those beauty booties on to peel dead skin. I will let you know how it works. I threw the guys a curveball last night and instead of making chili; I made Tatortot casserole. So we have that leftover and a salad. I am keeping all of you in my prayers and thoughts. Hope all of you are having a great day.

I was hoping to get ribs from Costco - their pre-seasoned ones are amazing! Alas, they did not have them when the Instacart shopper pulled my order. DH and DS will have leftovers from the steak tips the other night with some sort of side dish and a salad. I'll let them choose the side since I picked mashed potatoes the other night. I will figure out something else for myself since we don't have enough leftovers for three of us!
DS is taking his first final exam today. He has them this week Tue, Thu, Fri, and next week, I'm not sure if he has 2 or 3.
Then a week off (during which we were supposed to be in Jamaica) and right into spring semester

I made Tatortot casserole. Wow, I literally JUST told hubby a few minutes ago that I'm absolutely CRAVING tator tots !!!!! I saw a photo of them on Instagram, and the craving is strong! I've never put them into a casserole, but it sounds YUMMMY!!! I'm considering NOT making spaghetti tonight and getting take-out instead. Sonic makes the YUMMIEST tator tots, annnd, they put cheese on top!

Do one thing today that makes you feel good. It's really important, My Zumba instructor from our old town sent me 2 videos worth of dances so I'm going to be dancing as soon as I finish typing this. She was also DS's 7th grade teacher and when he saw her on the video he couldn't believe she looked the same. She is amazing (she's in her early 70's) and more fit than anyone I know. We're having baked chicken thighs with zucchini and a fruit salad. Happiest of birthdays, floridasunflower!

Hello, guys! Happy Tuesday. I woke up this morning at 4 am and was like, where's Jeremy? I was in a total panic thinking it was Wednesday and he should be home. Alas, it is only Tuesday. Tonight's self care will include a bubble bath with a new book. And just for fun I ordered myself a new T-shirt today from the Not Your Average Runner store. It says, "I'm not training to be fast. I'm training to be fierce!" And it's PINK!!! So I'm looking forward to the weather getting nicer so I can run in my new shirt. Tonight's dinner will be a sheet pan dinner with kielbasa, onions, peppers, and potatoes. Happy Birthday floridasunflower! scrapmaven, do you have a kindle you can post from temporarily? My kindle fire works great on this board. It's a little tricky for typing, but it works.

Hello everyone! I'm having a wild week over here. Yesterday was a trip to the grocery for curbside pickup. This morning I picked DH up after he dropped his car off for servicing. I stopped on the way for an Egg McMuffin and a Coke (used Apple Pay and wiped it all down before I ate it). AND I get to take him back to pick up his car this afternoon! Living the life I tell you! Dinner tonight will be a salad for me. I will also bake a pack of bacon for the week and can crumble fresh bacon on top of the salad. Yum! DH can have the sliders I cooked last night. Do one thing today that makes you feel good My Visa statement just told me I have taken that missive to the extreme. I told it to hush up and just now ordered some Baby Foot peels for DD and I from Ulta (on sale). This afternoon I'll be sewing another fabric basket, as well as what I hope will be the last mask. I'm ready to shift gears back to sewing for enjoyment.

scrapmaven, I've never had chicken meatballs. I bet they're delicious with the sauce. We're grilling seasoned pork chops tonight with potatoes and veggies all on grill. Loving this sunny, warmer weather here. Yes, 50s to 70s is nice to me.😁😉

Happy birthday floridasunflowerRight now I’m watching Iron Man 2 with DD, and I’m using every opportunity to sing along. She doesn’t like it,lol. For some inexplicable reason, both my kids hate it when I sing. I’m exhausted after all the painting the last week, but I hope to be finished (for now) by Friday. Dinner? Rechauffe. Glorious, glorious rechauffe.

Hi ladies! Happy Tuesday.
I’m going to try to do two small projects around the house today before dinner. Tidy up and clean out the shelves above the washer dryer. They are just a dumping ground for random kitchen stuff. That really won’t take long. So hopefully I can work on the kitchen junk drawer. It is a black hole! I haven’t even seen the back half of it in years.
After all that’s done dinner is Cesar salad with skillet lasagna.

Hi ladies!! Hope you're all surviving as best as you can.
Things are going ok here. Dh had to have a come to Jesus meeting with both our dd's about not respecting each other's space...because they were yelling at each other earlier.
Nothing exciting happening here. I slept like crap last night, only getting about 2 hours. So I'm tired and checked out.
Dinner tonight is turkey cutlets, mac and cheese, and green beans...I think. Dd#2 is supposed to be cooking dinner. I know for sure it's turkey cutlets but the rest could change. LOL
Have a great day ladies!

I had a happy morning. I went to the garden center and bought some plants and did some planting in some containers on the back porch. I sit outside every afternoon and will really enjoy my flowers!
DH's dinner will be hot dogs and home made potato salad. I best stick to fruit.

Happy Tuesday my friends!
DH wanted pork chops for dinner with baked potatoes, I dug in the deep freeze and couldn't find any chops. I was so frustrated, I had the freezer organized when we moved it a few months ago and now it's such a mess. I pulled some tenderized round steaks to pan fry and that will substitute for the chops. I have a few brussel sprouts to saute too.
I'm sewing 4 quilt blocks for the local quilt store today, they are doing a QOV ( quilt of Valor) block drive this week. I'm getting into the routine of sitting on the patio reading late afternoon each day, and I'm enjoying that.
Have an awesome day ladies!

I thought it was Wed too.
So I guess it’s Taco (salad) Tuesday again. Now to decide between mojito or margarita...

Thanks to all of you for the birthday wishes. You really know how to make a girl feel special! Well, technically I'm a long ways from a girl but the feeling special part is true. :-)
I've given myself permission to take the day off from my yard project and my back is particularly appreciative of that. We plan to venture out late this afternoon for curbside pick-up of a prescription and may hit up Lowe's for a couple of quick items. AND since we're out, we'll get take-out from the local BBQ place, meaning I don't have to cook or clean up. A birthday present in and of itself.
Smiles and hugs for the dinner tribe....you are all gems!

we were going to have Chile Rellenos, but DH got called in to work. Now I don't know because he is at the further hospital and won't be home until 8. I don't like to fry things in two batches.

Since we are still "test driving" our new grill (grin), we are doing pork chops tonight with mashed potatoes and fresh corn (fresh as in our friends are farmers and we froze a bunch immediately after picking last summer LOL). The pork chops are marinating, and DH is going to smoke one now to try it out - if we like it he will smoke the rest instead of grilling them.

We'll be having the fajitas we didn't have last night, and some sugared strawberries and cream for dessert. Man, I have lost so much stamina since being bedridden for 2 1/2 months! It's good to be walking around again, but geez I get tired so quick now! I don't see many complicated meals in our future...pphhfftt! Like I ever make anything complicated...

Well, the fishsticks never made it to the table the other day... we had Zaxby's chicken instead. Last night we had homemade carnitas and Mexican rice - delish! So, fishsticks are on the agenda for tonight but who knows?

It was not unexpected, but it really brings home the scale of this virus problem, that they are canceling such a big event in the life of our city so far out. It really does hit home the scale, doesn't it. Just wanted to post my rank from my past post on the puzzle thread Love that you have a screenshot. I just made IKEA’s Swedish meatballs and gravy. I saw a post of the recipe with classic IKEA instructions for "building" it. Happy Birthday floridasunflower! I'm struggling with skin issues I had under control six months ago and think I need to go back and do another round of Whole30. It will also break my asshole eating and craving for baked goods. I talked to DH about it this morning because it means bringing more animal products back into out diet and he said he'd eat whatever I'm eating. So I reminded him it was no grains, no legumes, etc. So he said he'll eat what I'm eating plus bread. I need to decide before grocery shopping this week. Meanwhile, a spaghetti squash is sitting on the counter so I'll use any remaining fresh vegetables to make a ginger cashew stir fry. The kids can decide whether rice or rice noddles go with it.
