I have a few opinion questions... First a bit of back story...my 13 y/o daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis 5 years ago. About a year into her treatment she was selected for Make A Wish. Her wish was a trip to NYC. It was a wonderful trip and we took lots of pics and made tons of memories. I am going to make albums for all of us. So there will be one for her, one for her big sister(she got to pick one person to go with her besides parents and she picked her sister), and one for us. Three albums, basically all the same, probably a little different Journaling in ours lol.
Here is where the questions come in... should I just print the pics and make three layouts at a time and basically finish all three at the same time? Should I just do them one at a time? Should I print all the pics out first (3 copies of each) or just print as I work? Heeeelp!?

Pick whatever is the least stressful for you and just enjoy the process. I make two of most layouts and do them at the same time. I can cut two papers just as easy as one and it makes things go faster, but I am a bit of a type A personality.

If it were me, I probably wouldn't make 3 albums, lol. But if I were to make three - I would probably do each layout in triplicate...maybe switch up the photos a little for the girls (have each one's focus a little more on them). I would worry otherwise that I would get burnt out and only get one album done.

I don't really know. I kind of think everyone works differently and knows themself, and how it would work best. But I thought I would throw this out: If you are thinking of using the same 3 photos for each album, why don't you do one album at a time and incorporate each daughter's input, however trivial it may be, so that each album truly belongs to them. And you can do the same for yours and your S/O's. Print them all at once. That is all I've got. ETA: or do all 3 albums at the same time, but get each person's input for their album as you do each layout.

What *I* would do (and have done for big family vacations) is make pages in the PL app and make photo books. There's no way *I* would scrap someone 3 times. Even using the app it is a big task. I made over a 100 pages for a 2 week family vacation.
I will still paper scrap some of my favorite photos or to tell some stories. When I make the app pages I don't worry too much about the journaling besides who, where and when.

I would make one album, scan the layouts and make replica books for myself and sister. Daughter would get the actual album.

I'm going to assume you absolutely want 3 actual, paper scrapbook albums.
Yes, definitely print out three copies of each print. Doesn't mean you must use them, but you won't have to stop what you're doing if you decide you need that pic and haven't already printed it.
I would scrap each layout in triplicate, with a twist.
Decide on layout design. Use it as is for page #1.
Turn sketch 90 degrees for page #2.
Turn original sketch 180 degrees for page #3.
You could use different papers if you want the albums to look more individual.
But I would definitely lay out out each set of pages to scrap together, doing the cuts at the same time, adhering at the same time, so that the bones of each layout were finished at the same time.
Journaling and embellishments can be added to suit individual taste & preference.

Do your daughters scrapbook? Maybe they could scrapbook their own memories from the trip. You could each use the same photos, but the albums would reflect your own unique points of view.

I scrap for Dgd, and my 2 sons. I print all photos out and sort them by person. Then I do all the same layout 3 times, but they are always different because I switch up supplies.
In your case doing 3 exact layouts I would scrap all 3 at once and move on.

I would also do them at the same time but I would feature your daughters in each of their albums then combine those nuances in your album with your more personal journaling.

I scrap many of the same events for us, our DGD, and DGS.
I do all three at the same time. I make hers more feminine than his sometimes. I also might adjust which photos I use for his vs. hers.
Using the same layout just makes it easier. I generally print 3 sets of photos. If I don't use them all, I give the extras to DS.

I had 2 copies of a photo book printed with all the photos for each of them, and for my family album I'll be paper scrapping with just my favorite photos (it's been 8 years and I still haven't done it yet! )
