I don't like to watch football, but I love watching the nfl and nba draft. This is only the second year I have watched, so I am still pretty clueless. I just like the excitement of the players when they get picked. The players put on a hat from the team after they get picked. Do they know before it's on tv who picks them?

I love the draft! This year is even more fun to me, as we get a peek inside the coaches', GM's and player's homes. I, too, love the excitement the players show. Although Joe Burrows was a bit too subdued in my opinion. The first handful of picks have a pretty good idea of where they'll end up. They had plenty of discussions with the coaches prior and after the combine. There's always surprises, though. Have fun watching!

I just like the excitement of the players when they get picked. The players put on a hat from the team after they get picked. Do they know before it's on tv who picks them? Many of them - at least those at the top - have a strong inkling of where they are going. There are a lot of negotiations that go on before draft night. They at least know the top few teams that are vying for them and Iām sure are sent hats from all the teams who may draft them. The team who drafts them wants them wearing that hat more than anything, so I would guess they send out a lot of hats. Once you get beyond the first round, it is much less certain.

I love watching the draft too! (AFL / Australian rules football though.) We have finally taken a leaf out of the NFL book and started televising the draft. We've only done it here for the last 2 maybe 3 years. You've been doing it for years haven't you? It makes me so happy to see how excited the boys and their families are. The boys are allowed to have 3 or 4 family members sitting with them. Most of the mums cry when their son's name gets called out!

Although Joe Burrows was a bit too subdued in my opinion. I think he was nicely humble for being the top pick. I liked that he was only with his parents. intimate family moment (In front of millions. Lol). Most others seemed grateful. Some looked cocky. Makes we wonder how the cocky ones will pan out for their teams. Also makes me wonder how many of the girlfriends will still be there once the season start. Lol

I am pulling for a young man who went to the high school and college I went too! He may get drafted in the 4th-7th round. We met him a couple times and he is so nice!

Plus this isn't the experience he was supposed to have. I've been critiquing some of their houses, more the curtains. Turns out, I dont like most curtains. The Giants's room is so plain and white. Some of the outfits too. There was a shirtless guy in the background of one of them.

I love the draft. It's like sending your babies out into the world and you get to watch them make it. I am going to be devastated if the season doesn't start on time.
And the Panthers are stupid for passing on Isaiah Simmons with Luke Kuechly retiring. I'm glad he'll be with another great Tiger in Arizona- DeAndre Hopkins. Speaking of stupidity, I have no words- well I do have very ugly words- for Bill O'Brien. I hope Deshaun can get out of there soon.

It's my understanding the players who are shown on tv were mailed instructions, a camera, required props for product placement, & hats from every team. Just like in prior years, each player/agent is contacted & has a brief discussion with the GM/coach prior to his name being called on the broadcast; he's, therefore, wearing the correct hat when shown on tv. Best wishes to all the draft-eligible players. Enjoy the show! ...This year is even more fun to me, as we get a peek inside the coaches', GM's and player's homes... It seems most people feel the same. I, however, dislike the glimpses into the coaches'/GMs' homes & am hoping to a return to the traditional format next year. Congratuations to the drafted players!

Being an LSU fan, I'm loving the draft. I was thrilled that Burrow and Clyde Edwards-Helaire book-ended the first round as they are best friends.

Well as a Bengal fan I am thrilled to get Joe Burrow! They are already plenty of commercials in Cincinnati featuring him. They put a billboard out welcoming him to Cincinnati and the Bengals.

What did he do or not do? I was watching the coverage on ABC. When they called his name, he stood up, put the hat on, and sat back down. His parents kept standing for a bit, then sat down. He didn't do anything wrong, I'm not saying that. I would think that being called first and knowing you were going to make millions would make you a little bit more excited. Maybe he's just a quiet guy? Just as a spectator, that was my opinion. Just to be clear, I think he's a great kid and a great player.

Joe is pretty low key. He's incredibly smart and can read defenses like nobody else we've ever had at QB. He knew where he was going, there was no anticipation or surprise. He's sitting with his parents, he gave them hugs and sat down. I'm pretty sure his heart was racing but his main worry is when he can get to work with the team. Last summer he called his wide-receivers and he worked with them constantly so he, and they, could be better. He is a work horse who got his master degree online and did nothing but watch film when he wasn't studying. The Bengals got an incredible player and person.

I'm not a huge football person, but I may have to cheer for the Detroit Lions (after my hometown, of course), just because of their instagram post with Julian Okwara and his brother. I'm not sure how to link to the specific photo, but it's on their page in the 2nd row (at least it was when I just looked): Brothers

As an Oregon fan, I was happy to see Justin Herbert go in the first round. I admit, I don't pay too close attention to the NFL draft, but we love our QB1.

My oldest was born in Detroit (Royal Oak)! We lived in Troy for 2 yrs. and loved it! We go back to visit every few years. We went to the Quick Lane Bowl in Dec.. My daughter is on the dance team, so it was great to spend a day in Michigan. I love Ford Field! Go Lions!

I admit I don't like football anywyay... but whether it's football, basketball, or my beloved hockey, I can't get excited about the draft knowing the season is at risk, and, as such, the leagues themselves may be at risk. I don't know that sports can survive being dark all season.
I'm starting to get the thinking of the folks who say we have got to reopen the economy and just accept/manage the risks as best we can.

Draft day was just a formality and I think he was just being humble. Good for him and his parents. Iām sure they could have had a crowded couch of people but it was nice to see just the three of them. He wasnāt wearing a bathrobe, he didnāt have a flashy GF next to him or his agent, and his father didnāt roll on the floor (moments echoed by others). It was a good moment.

I'm so excited, he finally got picked by the Pittsburgh Steelers! They picked two players from Maryland! We live in Pittsburgh, and I am not a Steelers fan at all, (Go Redskins!) but I guess I have to be a Steeler fan now!
