I didn't see a thread already, and we have eaten dinner, so here it is. I hope all is well scrapmaven, and you are just busy. Dinner here was Morrocan spiced lamb with a cous cous salad. Very easy to make - DH cooked the meat on the BBQ - and really tasty. I should make cous cous more often. but I never seem to remember it. I was out today for the first time since our mask requirement came into force - nearly everyone on the trains and in the shops was wearing something over their nose/mouth. Most were 'proper' fabric or paper masks, but some had bandanas or scarves.

Hi sueg couscous is the same for me. I enjoy it as does everyone else but I rarely make it. And I need to ask myself why? I went running at lunch. I ran 1.6 miles. I don't seem to be increasing my distance at all. And I think it's because I avoid anything feeling like discomfort. I need to push myself to do hard things. And no I'm not talking about physical pain or anything. Just discomfort. Because I think I've kind of gotten in a groove and need to step it up for sure. Tonight's dinner will be random frozen appetizers. This too was a Jeremy selection. Thank goodness my home chef box should come today so we can have some better meals. But the King of Pizza Rolls (Jeremy) will be a happy man tonight.

Thank you for starting the thread sueg . I hope all is well with you scrapmaven SO did not have to work today because of rain, although it hasn't rained yet... He decided he wanted to get started on the next bedroom with tearing down the dry wall, so he moved all of daughter's stuff into the living room so we will have to move it all down to the basement tonight. And he has started removing drywall. Keeps him busy. For dinner, I will have to think of something easy since we will be busy. It may be frozen pizza and fries! That reminds me, I have pizza rolls too, jeremysgirl. I secretly love them!

I am currently trying to increase my distance - though I am walking, not running. I am up to 2km easily, and 2.5 if I push myself. I'd like to get back to 3km, which is where I got to after my first knee op, before the second one started playing up. It is going to rain here for the rest of the week, so I don't think I'll be doing more than the minimum.

Hi ladies!
Just another day of doing nothing here. It's causing me to not sleep because I'm not busy during the day. I'm severely limited until the septic is done. A few more weeks, hopefully.
Dinner tonight is grilled burgers and hot dogs. I made pasta salad for me and the girls - the boys will have tater tots. I have some leftover green beans to go with it.
Have a good one ladies!!

I was in no such luck yesterday. DH hadn't started dinner - he was having too much fun riding all over with his motorcycle. We had brats and leftover baked beans from scratch that I did Sunday.
But today, as I was leaving for work, DH was starting the sous vide machine so I KNOW tonight's dinner will be done when I get home. I just have no idea what it is yet. lol

Well if the weather doesn’t have me taking cover in the hallway, baseball hail, tornadoes and torrential rain today, dinner is ribeyes with roasted potatoes and sautéed broccoli.
Woke up anxious knowing what was coming today. Every year I plan to save and get a storm shelter and it never happens. 🤬

scrapmaven- We miss you, I hope all is ok. Thanks @ Sueg for starting the thread. I look forward to it each day and seems to be one of the true 'routines' I have right now. I have a turkey in the oven, so that's what's for dinner this evening. I'm also making a tray of dressing to freeze with it. Wishing everyone a great day!!

Well if the weather doesn’t have me taking cover in the hallway, baseball hail, tornadoes and torrential rain today I'm sorry your weather is so bad today. Today, I actually have the windows open, it's so nice. It's been a long time coming to get to spring in Michigan.

I was talking to my mom about meals she made when I was growing up and she was surprised to learn that I have never made goulash. She made goulash every single night. Not really every night, but since it was one of my least favorites, it sure seemed that way. So, tonight I will right my wrong and make my mother proud by making goulash.

I have to take dd#2 to math tutoring tonight ... sounds simple but it's not She lives with ex on the absolute other side of the city ... tutoring is by my house ... so we have agreed to meet in the middle ... I have to drive 25 minutes to pick her up in a parking lot, bring her to tutoring, wait for her to be done, then drive her that 25 minutes again to that parking lot where he will meet me to take her home ... FML I will probably just eat brie, proscuitto and melba rounds for dinner because of this rigamaroll Hope you are OK scrapmaven! Thanks for starting the thread sueg!

Thank you sueg, for picking up my slack. I was using my tablet and posted the thread, or so I thought. Then I started to do some chores. Now I'm on my computer, that dh just reinstalled and do not see the thread I posted. It was user error, but at least dh thinks that my pc isn't totaled. Woohoo. Now I'll go back and read everyone's posts.

hop2, you are correct. I posted on the GS board. I apologize to my tribe and especially cadoodlebug, because I tried to delete the thread and left your post, cause I didn't know what I'm doing. I am thrilled to have my computer back, but dh is still doing some fixes on it.

PolarGreen12 - Stay safe! The weather has been dark and ominous today, but the storms seem to be splitting and going to the north and south of us. Supposedly tomorrow is going to be worse weather for us. I dislike these Spring storms. Glad you are doing okay scrapmaven! No clue what dinner will be tonight. There is some fresh tortellini I could make, or I may just end up scrambling some eggs. Waiting on divine inspiration in the meantime.

Tonight we are having tacos/taco salad. I am really craving oatmeal cookies but don't know if I want to dig my Kitchen Aid out to mix them up.
Yesterday I got my big perennial garden all cleaned up and ready for the season. I never have gotten the whole thing cleaned out in one day before so I am pretty jazzed that it's done!!
One of my sons called and asked if I was going to do a veggie garden this year because he wants to have a garden war with me!! I love that guy!! Not sure if I am going to do it or not. Every time I do veggies it's like I rang the dinner bell for the moose and they come and destroy it. Last night we had three moose in our yard. Attachments:

I'm sending Boris and Natasha right over. I am sorry if my Bullwinkle jokes are bothersome. Welcome to my world. I could not mention moose at home w/o someone making a Bullwinkle reference. I live in the silliest and strangest house on earth. If you grow stuff in earth boxes will that keep the moose from grazing? My mil's backyard is a haven for deer. She gave up her garden a few years ago, because the dear ate everything, even her grass. Now that she's in independent living the deer live in her backyard and sleep there all day long. We have great photos.

This is what I posted on the other thread ~ I wondered why scrapmaven hadn't posted the thread so I looked at her recent threads and didn't notice is wasn't on the right board: We went for our early morning walk and it's already heating up ~ almost 90 today. I think I'm making some chicken thigh dish but I might run out to Sam's or Costco to get some meat to freeze. They were out of the things I wanted last time I went. I ordered a hair trimmer from Costco which should arrive next week. DH wants me to cut his hair. You're my witnesses that he went into this willingly. How many people in the world now wish they had married a hair stylist. Since then I have received a wonderful *gift*. My best friend in high school found a photo of our graduating class sitting on the stage at the Municipal Auditorium in NOLA. It was in an album her mom made but the friend had never seen it! I'm pretty sure my parents paid for a copy but never got it in the mail.

I spent most of the day outside doing yard work. I'm tired and a bit sunburned, but accomplished a lot. Did all the mowing, did some serious weeding, and began work on a new flower bed. I'll sleep well tonight.
Dinner will be veggies, dip and a flatbread pizza from Aldi.
KelleeM Wow! Who is this grown up little lady? Beautiful girl!

DS was planning to make Pulled chicken in the crockpot and he needed to start it between 130 and 145. At 4, I realized that there was nothing going on (I'm working at the dining room table so I don't know why I didn't notice sooner!). So, dh will grill the chicken and then we can chop it and put in in sauce for sandwiches. I have some chicken rice a roni and creamed corn to have with it.
