I'm not sure if you remember but earlier in the year I was looking for a dress for my 15 year old to wear to her graduation (grade 9 is a big deal here) ... I posted on FB to see if maybe one of my friends in the USA had a prom dress for sale and a wonderful Pea came through with the perfect dress for me to buy from her! (Thanks Angela!) Anyway, this week the same daughter was in tears because her fav band (as in obsession) is coming to a city three hours north of us at the same time we are on vacation in July. She thought we should postpone our holiday so that she could go to the concert That was a big fat "NO" Softie that he is, dh decides that it won't be a big deal for us to add a quick trip to Seattle to the beginning of our British Columbia vacation so that Emma and I can take in the One Direction concert Alrighty then ... now to buy tickets ... presale has already happened ... we missed out and who knows if we will get tickets at all ... I posted about this on Facebook and a wonderful Pea PM's me that she has some for sale!!! We completed the transaction today and now I'll be sitting in a huuuuuge arena in Seattle, full of screaming teenagers, with my crying dd on July 15th I'm not sure if Holly is a Refugee but I just want to say that she has made my dd's life Whatever name we go by now ... Peas or PeaRefugees ... either way, you ladies are the BEST!!!!

It's so cool that a pea helped you out both times, and you're surprising your dd. I give my condolences for having to go to that concert. You're a great mom!

That's great! Good for you taking her. You couldn't pay my husband or I to go to a concert with screaming teen girls! My daughter went with a friend to see the Jonas Brothers when she was in 6th grade. The screaming girls drover her crazy too! I think ear plugs would be a great thing to take.
Sounds like you have a fun vacation to look forward to. So nice when we can get help and advice here!

That is a great story. You should read The Pioneer Woman's story of when she took her daughter and friends to the concert. Hilarious!

Well, a good friend of mine took her daughter to both of their concerts in Chicago a couple of months ago. Besides winning the "Best Mom of the Year" award, she actually really enjoyed the concerts herself. She showed me some video and it included her screaming like a teenager in the background. Hopefully you will enjoy the event as much as your daughter!

So, are your seats together?
I couldn't get the quote feature to work so that's my best imitation:)
I bought 4 tickets right at 10 when the Presales started and even though they weren't the best tickets I bought them because I didn't know if I'd have another chance. I was really hoping for floor seats since that's what DD really wanted, of course. So I couple of hours later I checked back and they had 2 floor seats near the stage that juts out. So I took a chance that I could sell my other 4 and bought those 2. My DD doesn't know we have the floor seats yet, lol. Saving that surprise for a bit. So Leanne helped me too:)
I read Pioneer Women's post about the concert. I loved what she wrote about the t-shirt I'll be steering clear of those, haha.

I just read the Pioneer Woman's story I certainly won't be buying a 1D tank top for myself ... or any shirt for myself in fact I know that dd will want some swag so I guess I should be prepared to wait "9 hours" in line Seriously, I think it will be a really cool bonding experience for dd and I (But I am thinking of bringing ear plugs )
