EDIT: I can't get the picture to show up. Insert picture of torn oreo package with the top corner eaten off here.
... But it appears that something else in my house is!
I am FREAKED out. I do not do well with small, remotely rodent animals (including hamsters and guinea pigs). I particularly do not do mice. Is a mouse my culprit? What kind of mouse trap should I buy?
Signed, A suburbanite girl who has never encountered a mouse. And is not happy to do so.

Yikes! I feel your pain! I saw a mouse outside and was almost hysterical. My husband thought I was a kook, he said where else do you want to see it, in the house??? I guess he does have a point!

Mice really do love peanut butter. We rented a house in Michigan in the early 90s and found out there were mice in the basement. They ate my Reese's peanut butter cups and my chocolate peanut butter fudge that I kept in the basement to prevent melting in the non air conditioned house. We also had mice get into our peanut butter granola bars at the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone.

kenziekeeper - You need to be careful with photos you post. There is a picture of an old "pea" email in your folder.

If you go with snap traps, bait them and then carefully slide them into a brown lunch bag. That way if it catches something, you can just roll up the edge of the bag and throw the entire thing out. Blech and good luck.

The mouse that I have hiding in my house with 6 cats, sigh, ate my stash of Hershey Kisses the other day.
