Sorry another is sick but wouldn’t it be fun to be a bug on the wall in the WH tonight. How many more will be positive and what were they expecting based on their own actions?!?!

Reality has a way of biting you in the ass. They can pretend this isn't a big deal and that they can pivot to something else, but a virus doesn't care. Gosh, if only someone had done something about this back in January.

The woman is described as Ivanka’s personal assistant and has been working remotely for several weeks. Perhaps because she had been exposed?
(I read the former; I speculated the latter.)

Gosh, if only someone had done something about this back in January. Gosh, if only someone practiced social distancing & wearing a mask... you know like the scientists & doctors said to... Actually scratch that Gosh if only the employees were allowed to social distance and wear a mask like scientist & doctors said to. I feel bad that employees will take the brunt of the stupidity

I can't understand their mentality in thinking anyone in the White House would be immune to catching it. There are employees going in and out of that building all day and every day. They go home, they go to the store, they live with others that are also going to the store, working with others and it goes on - and they still think they're safe SMDH!
That was one of the main things that annoyed me when I saw Pence visiting the Mayo with no personal protection on, which in turn possibly exposed already sick people. Having a negative test today doesn't mean that it will be the same tomorrow or the day after.

Shit's getting real for Trump. Can you imagine the temper tantrums he is throwing? We're entertaining ourselves here at my quarantined house, where we all wear masks when we go out, and where we hardly go out anyway except for walks and the grocery store every 2-3 weeks... anyway.... we're having a good time imagining those tantrums. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Yeah, I'm going to hell. Sorry. Not.

Which is, "You can't get it from people you know."

Must have just been dumb luck all 4 of them were separately infected, rather than passing it around in the family.

Karma has a way of coming around. Please wipe out the Trump family. Please do not. They will then be cast as martyrs and the plot will be they were killed as part of a conspiracy. Democrats, Nancy Pelosi, the "liberals," Hilary Clinton, CNN, Governor Cuomo, and random black people and Mexican people (or a cabal thereof) will be scapegoated for it.

It's reality. If you don't protect yourself this is what will happen. Glad they are getting to see reality because their perspective is way too skewed.

While I truly hope that none of these employees become very ill, I think it would also be detrimental to US policy and decisions made moving forward if Trump only observes those around him test positive and recover without requiring hospitalization.

All those sick people at the White House can rest easy, because it’s all going to be, POOF! GONE! in April. Oh, wait... it’s May. Damn.

I really don't understand why, after Boris Johnson's experience, the administration isn't much more careful.

"That’s Been the Story of Life” says Trump on Why Rich People Are Getting Tests First" Perhaps the only true thing the guy ever said.

Why would it be detrimental? If there are 37 known cases at the White House and it turns out that no one requires hospitalization, I think it would be representative of how this virus has been behaving in the world. Look at the statistics; those being hit hardest are older people with preexisting conditions and living in close quarters with others like themselves. Those are the ones, in general, requiring hospitalization. I mean Barney Rubble may not be a genius but I’m sure he’s seen the numbers. I am no fan of his, believe you me, and the way he and his clan have been behaving throughout this, I’ve been hoping that reality would catch up with them.

Because I think it will indicate further to Trump that the virus isn’t a big concern, when the death rate and possible lifelong health issues indicate otherwise. Basically, the same attitude you’ve expressed here will become even more acceptable — oh, it’s just the old and unwell who are alrwady dying, no loss there! And it’s not “just” the old and unwell who are dying, and I happen to value all lives. So any policy that doesn’t protect our old and unwell and disadvantaged is a harmful one.

I understand that’s what you mean. And I certainly do want to protect all people. I just don’t think it’s useful wishing that these 37 cases will become the exception to how the virus is behaving. I bet he’s not even worried about those people or himself.

So uncalled for....He maybe an asshole but wishing death on his entire family....SMDH Sorry but his son, daughter and son in law are fair game when they’re put in positions they are massively unqualified for. Jared Kushner, in particular for saying the White House response has been a success. Personally, I’m not wishing the virus on anyone, but it’s not unreasonable to wish it on members of his family that have been granted positions they are clearly unqualified for.
