Hello All - I have been working on a lot of digital scrapbooking and documenting to get printed into photo books. However, I would like to start a physical album for each of my kids to save a few samples of their work each year. Emphasis on a few - I photograph art stuff to put into the photo books, so this is just for the physical stuff that I really, really want to keep. Think of the Becky Higgins (I know...) albums that she puts together for her kids, where she has the scrapbook dividers for each year, though I really would like to keep it to 1 album per child. What are everyone's recommendations for quality 12*12, or even 9*12 albums that are going to look good and last for a long time? For my physical layouts I'd bought BH albums that came with the original PL kits, but I'd prefer something plan, leather or pleatherish but mostly worried about them lasting.
Thank you!!

Did you want 3 ring albums? For best quality I would say We R Memory Keepers or Close To My Heart (they have 3 ring or post bound).
Scrapbook.com has come out with albums similar to WRMK and Doodlebug is decent quality.

This is just my personal opinion based on using the following albums.
Creative Memories makes the best strap hinge albums. Close To My Heart makes the best post bound albums. WRMK (and now Scrapbook.com) makes the best 3 ring albums. I have several BH albums and they have held up really well too.
I think a 3 ring album would be the best for the type of project you are wanting to do. The YouTube videos BH did several years ago on how she put together her kids school albums were really good. There is also a video from her photo rescue series where she helps a woman put together a school album that is helpful too.

Thank you! Yes I think I’m going to go the three ring route and look at We R Memory Keepers. I agree those videos were helpful. Crazy how much the brand has changed since those were released

I purchased 3 of their albums and within 2 years the glue in them had turned loose inside. I was very disappointed in the long term quality. I paid $30 each , not included page protectors. Their product warranty is only good for 90 days.

If I was just starting to choose albums I would likely get the new 9x12 3 ring at Scrapbook.com

Craftsdirect.com had WRMK albums discounted. I bought brown leather WRMK albums from them earlier this month. They shipped in a week.
