Good morning. I dont' know what to make tonight. I'll look through my recipes and get back to you. I'm pondering trying a new recipe just for kicks and giggles. While pondering, I will likely make chicken soup for tmw night.
What's on your menu?

Thai beef salad here. The steak is marinating and DH can cook it on the grill while I make the salad.
Not much happening here today - I went out for a walk, worked on my current jigsaw and did some knitting while watching Netflix.

We will most likely get take out and then get frozen custard for dessert.
It is rainy and stormy today. The kind of weather to stay in bed for, but here I am, at work. I took tomorrow off, supposed to be close to 70 and sunny. I have big plans of scrubbing floors and getting some plants for my grandma's pots. Then I can get those planted for her on Saturday.

Hello! I proposed my layoff days off. My boss approved and now we are waiting for confirmation from the higher ups. It is basically rotating Monday and Wednesdays off for the next ten weeks. Mondays and Wednesdays are my lightest days of work. So we will see what happens. I finished my Lost Souls Shawl last night. Pictures on the Craft Thread if you're curious. And I spent my early morning coffee this morning planning my next project. I think I've got a plan for the yarn jop sent me. And today it is raining hard. Thunder the whole works. I kind of like it. But I will absolutely not run in it today. Tonight for dinner is a Home Chef meal. Pasta. Perfect comfort food for a dark, cold day.

jeremysgirl, I'll go over to the craft thread to look at the photo. You are such a talented crafter. I'm really sorry that you have to give up a day of income. That just sucks.

A new recipe sounds great, Oh Fellow Great of Great New Recipes! I need to find a new one as well. Tomorrow is grocery store day so you can imagine what is left in my cupboards 😝.
Something with eggs, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. I do have cheese. And apple crisp because we have the last of our apples to use.
Our “Happy Retirement” parade was 50 decorated cars long, many with more than one person in the car. Also the neighbors made lawn signs and decorated their newspaper and mail boxes. Balloons and streamers, too. She was so surprised and happy to see DH and me. It was a bright spot for all of us! It’s still bright ❤️.
Thanks for the thread. The arrows want me to mandate more rest for you today. As a warning, you’ll not want to ignore their mandate, sweetie pie. Just sayin’ 😎.

Again, no clue. I really need groceries but I’m waiting until tomorrow morning. Fridge is pretty empty. So something with beans I guess. It’s lunch and I have no idea what I’m having for lunch!

DH and I were walking out the door to go on our walk when we realized it had started raining so we'll wait for it to stop.
Our county is one of several in CA that is allowed to start opening up in stage 2. With many restrictions restaurants and some stores can open. I'm waiting for stage 3 which will include hair dressers. Movie theaters and gyms are also at the top of my list.
We're having stuffed red bell peppers for dinner with a green salad and a fruit salad.

Good Morning ladies!
I walked this morning, doing laundry and cleaning out my craft room closet. I used to scrapbook and now I quilt, so I have a lot of supplies for both and need to make them more organized so that I can switch from one hobby to the other as I want to w/o it being a major ordeal.
DH is at the ranch checking cattle, He had a new calf yesterday, so cute! Dinner for me will either be a baked sweet potato or take out.
Have an awesome day everyone!!

desertgirl, Hey, what about omelettes and sweet potato country potatoes? I will rest. I have to take a walk and then drop off my monitor in order to get results tmw. cadoodlebug, hairdressers are going to have waiting lists 10 miles long. I'm glad, because that gives them a chance to recoup some of their lost wages. We're planning to tip the price of a haircut when we go for haircuts. Our stylist sees all 4 of us. I won't be going for a very long time, because I have to be very careful, but Mr. Magorium(hubby)and the medusa boys will be going as soon as it's safe to do so.

I feel like something indulgent and homey today. We'll have corn fritters, bacon and probably a fried egg or two.

We're planning to tip the price of a haircut when we go for haircuts. Me too! I've saved over $100 by not getting cuts so that's what I'll tip.

I've got senior status asparagus, zucchini and mushrooms to use, so something with that will happen. If BF would eat quiche, that would be the plan.

This morning I played video games with DH when he got home from work. He was moved to midnights 3 weeks ago after a big layoff so I hang out with him in the am so we get time together. It’s nice but really messes with my routine.
I’m putting the finishing touches on my dissertation research survey, which I will hopefully post here.
Then I’m working on meal planning and the grocery list for the next 2 weeks.
Dinner is going to be chicken parmigiana using some Parmesan chicken fillets and marinara sauce I made and froze in March. I’m starting to rotate out what we froze in March.

Good morning/afternoon ladies!
I’m picking up my mom later this afternoon to go to Target. This will be her first time in a store since the end of March. And I know I don’t feel like cooking tonight so I’m getting carry out from a favorite local Mexican spot.

We are having chicken sandwiches with Tyson Air Fried chicken from the freezer. Ds might make fries if the potatoes arent too old. If not, we will have something else.
Rainy and chilly today. I want to take a nap!

Happy Thursday! Seems like yesterday's day of "kitten therapy" was very good for me. My mood has been much better today! I've gotten some chores done this morning, then have a couple of errands to run once the housekeeper gets here. Need to drive through at the pharmacy to pick up an Rx for DH, then stop at Talbots to make an exchange of pants. Not sure why I ordered regular length pants, when I've always been a petite. I sure didn't get magically get 3" taller! They opened some of their stores here, so hoping I can pop in and out quickly. Then it is home to get the sewing machine cranked up. I attempted yesterday, but I hit a roadblock. Sewing roadblock: DH is still doing his Snap Kitchen meals, so just have to cook something for myself. At first I was annoyed, but have chosen to look at it as a blessing now. I can make what I want to eat and not anyone else! Tonight is oven fried chicken tenders and a tossed salad. Trying to use up all the fruit/veggies before I do another grocery store run. jeremysgirl - I do hope they agree to your schedule. Good for you trying to make something positive out of a bad situation. desertgirl - So glad you had a wonderful retirement parade! SunnySmile - One of my favorite childhood meals was corn fritters with pancake syrup. Haven't made them in several years though. All this eating healthy sure messes with too many of my old favorites.

**GypsyGirl**, That kitten needs lots of snuggles and lap time. Kitties are theraputic when they're not being jerks. (She says this while a pussycat kneads her legs.)

Worked at school from 8:00-10:00. Tip for our new world: don't drink a hot cup of coffee just before you get your temp taken! My temp was 99.8! We waited about 10 mins and took it again and I was "normal."
Walked four miles and went to the store. Scored 2 canisters of Clorox wipes!
Dinner will be leftovers from last night's BBQ dinner for DH and a fruit salad for me.
Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

My Marley Spoon box arrived last night at 9pm (that was supposed to be dinner last night). I’ll make one of the vegetarian options for dh and something else for me. This is their last week to impress me. The first week dh only liked one of his two meals. He didn’t eat the leftovers for the one he didn’t like and dh always eats leftovers! If he isn’t wowed this week I’ll cancel the subscription because it’s too expensive if he doesn’t like it that much.
I’m having a real blah day with the weather and my work is boring today and my dogs are having tummy troubles and I’ve had to clean three bums and one carpet spot already.... ugh.

Rainy here also. Thought I’d be done with the quilt but I ran out of thread and broke my last heavy duty needle. Luckily my friend I’m making this for needed me to give her migraine shot and she had both items. So definitely finishing tonight. Dinner is up in the air. Maybe bbq grilled chicken sandwiches. Maybe with buffoon sauce. [br jeremysgirl your shawl turned out beautiful.

I bought a lasagna at Costco yesterday and we are having it for dinner tonight. I may roast some vegetables to go with and salad. I am kind of off salad right now. The only dressings I want to eat are my own viniagrettes. Maybe I had better make some more. We had it on the weekend and it was as good as it gets!!! We both loved the dressing.
