Our library has reopened for curbside pickup. I have three books on hold, but it may be awhile before it's my turn. Any suggestions in the meantime?

I have found that I have loved most of the books I found on Reese Witherspoon's book club list. Next Year in Havana, Where the Crawdads Sing, etc.
My recent favorites have been This is How it Always is, and Long Bright River. I stayed up until 3 am reading Long Bright River and polished it off in just over 24 hours.

I signed up for goodreads. They ask questions to get ideas of what books you like. Then they give recommendations. I was up until 1am last night going through their suggestions!

It’s helpful to know what books you loved in the past. I liked but didn’t love Where The Crawdads Sing.
I did really enjoy This Is How It Always Is. I also loved The Great Alone.

Thanks. I searched for “books” and “reading” but came up with a jumble of unrelated threads.

Thanks. I searched for “books” and “reading” but came up with a jumble of unrelated threads. Yeah, the search function sucks big time! Luckily I bookmark the Weekly Reading threads so I can revisit them when I need ideas. The women on those threads never disappoint with great ideas.

I also loved This is How It Always Is, it was a 5 star read for me. Others mentioned above that I enjoyed were The Great Alone and Where the Crawdads Sing.
Other recent great reads for me were: The only plane in the sky: An oral history of 9/11 The Outsider by Stephen King One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain

Jenna Bush Hager's Book Club
Part of what I like about Jenna Bush Hager's list is she loves character driven novels. Until I read the books that she likes, I didn't realize that I like that too! I've read a few on her list and agree with her choices. Modern Mrs Darcy Summer Reading GuideAlso: Rodham by Curtis Sittenfeld Like Crazy by Dan Mathews The Body by Bill Bryson (anything else by him is great too!) I thought it was just Me, but it wasn't by Brene Brown The Book of V by Anna Solomon All My Mother's Lovers by Ilana Masad I have a busy summer ahead of me!

I've read several books from Reese Witherspoon's book club and enjoyed them. They aren't as heavy as Oprah's stuff.
Recently, I've enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish and The Cactus

I follow the Reading thread every week.
This year, my favorite books so far were: Just Mercy Valentine (I just finished this earlier today.) Where the Forest Meets the Stars Nothing to See Here Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet (an older book, but oh-go-good) The Plea by Steve Cavanagh, but really anything by him.
