My TM opens up this am, in an hour. I am so torn...on one hand, I want to go and see what they have, on the other hand...do I really need to go to TM? No, not really. Gahhhh....
Anyone else venture out to TM this week?

Anyone else venture out to TM this week? Same for me. I don’t know fir sure that they’re opening today - just that they can open today. I’d like to go but don’t need to. If it makes you feel better I read a comment saying it’s all the same stuff from when they closed and new stock won’t be coming in nearly as often. I don’t know if that’s the case for all locations but it is a bit of a deterrent. I’m going to hold off.

Not yet...my stores aren't getting new stock just yet. I'll be calling the day before their truck would be due for the foreseeable future as they don't know when they'll start getting them in. I have gone out to other stores...been to J's twice (once to pick up an in store pick up order and once to get single sheets of paper because it wasn't on sale for a couple days after that), 2 HL's (one of them had the new Distress Ink holders, sooooo happy to get my hands on a couple of those although I need a couple more eventually), and M's once. M's was super disappointing, so I probably won't be going back there for a while. None of the stores have been overly crowded, although the first time I went to HL was the day Ross opened in the same shopping center...the parking lot was full and there were probably 100 people lined up nowhere near 6 feet apart...if any of the craft stores had looked like that, I would have immediately done an about face and gone home.

I haven’t bothered as it’s still curbside pick up in my state and I have no idea how that could work with TM

I love TM, love looking through all their stuff, but something tells me this probably isn't the best time. (Found out that I am a rampant face touch-er, who knew! )

The quarantine has made it quite clear that I have lots of cool stash to make pages for a long time. It's not the worth the risk to me to possibly get sick or, even worse, pass it to my loved ones. I just hope TM can hang on because I really love the store.

I went last week. There are signs all over to stay 6 feet apart and the aisles were one way. Unfortunately there were people there without masks and it made my blood pressure go through the roof.
They didn't have much new stuff and I was ticked off at the people without masks so I left.

Retail stores in my area don't open until June 1st and I had been to TM just before the shutdown so I'll wait a few weeks and hopefully they will have so new things.
I really don't need anymore stuff but just to walk into a place that isn't the grocery store is going to be a luxury.

I’m bad. I’ve been 3 times, only 2 of those for scrapping stuff. Then the manager told me they wouldn’t be getting anything new until June. I went again today, but it was for the Patio Umbrellas. Each time I wore a mask and sanitize after. I’m a nurse and I have felt comfortable with that. There aren’t too many people in my store.

I went last Saturday to one of ours... stores had been open here in AZ for about a week, maybe, at that time? I made an appt to shop at the (not so local) LSS, so to make my hour+ drive worthwhile I stopped at a nearby TM, too. I didn't buy all that much at the LSS (there was way too much to look at), so I consoled myself by buying a couple paper pads at the TM-- a 12x12 and 6x6 1 Canoe 2 pad, and a 6x6 DCWV pet paper pad (I have the 12x12 paper pad). But yeah, the entitled ladies-who-lunch without masks were annoying the crap out of me, too. There wasn't much 'new' that I hadn't seen before, but I usually do a lot more looking than buying when I go to TM, anyway.
The aisles are so narrow in that store, I kind of wish they'd keep the one-way aisles long-term.
I also briefly popped into both an M's and a J's, as long as I was out. The scrapbooking sections in both of those stores just felt sad and horribly out of date and empty-looking to me.

No. There's nothing I need that is worth risking my health for. It's just too risky here in Los Angeles with how many people there are.

No. It’s not worth the risk to me. It’s always questionable as to whether I will find fun stuff or walk out empty handed.
I’ve been shopping online and finding fun stuff. It’s enough to satisfy me. And with my stash, it’s not like I need anything TM sells. I hope they survive, but I’m too high risk to take the risk.

Be safe to everyone that does venture out!

I have been to all three of mine. They have been staffed with about 1/2 the normal numbers and there aren't too many people in there at one time. Today I was told that they got a truck this week, but that they were told that they won't be getting a new one for a few weeks since everything has been shut down buyer wise (on TM's end). They haven't been making purchases from close outs, so it will take a while to get back to normal.

I went during lunch yesterday. It’s the first time I’ve been anywhere other than the grocery store, Costco and one restaurant pick up since February 29th. Everyone had masks on and the aisles had one way arrows. The arrows made it a pain as it caused backups. The aisle I wanted was at the back of the store and an up arrow. As I was going down the closest down arrow someone got in front of me. Then she had to stop and browse, feeling the fabric on a cushion After a few minutes, she did move over so me and the person behind me could get around her. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I was able to get the ceramic planter we wanted for a dog water bowl, which was the main reason I went. I also got 2 6x6 pads and several dog toys. My best find was an egg platter with a frog in the middle, on clearance. Perfect for my frog collecting mom’s birthday! I don’t know if or how much was new since it’s been so long since I’ve been. My state has been in lock down for a long time, so it might have only been what was in the back or one delivery before they shut down. I didn’t want to touch much so I didn’t dig or rifle through to see what was there.

Good News~ New stock starts rolling out next week ~ finally!! I went yesterday to return something (an anti-fatigue mat I bought for the kitchen- it was too big), and while I was waiting, the guy working said they were expecting two trucks before the weekend that didn't come. eta: I don't pay that much attention to the codes on the tags; I'll have to look at the price tags on what I bought last weekend to see how long those items have been at the store. (probably quite a while-- I hardly ever buy things 'right away' even at TM.)

My favorite store had 2 trucks come in! My daughter was in the store shopping for me virtually and I talked with the manager on FACETIME. He offered to let me shop privately because the store has been so empty.
I haven’t been out shopping in over 2 months but my Husband agreed that it would be safe if I was the only one in the store. I’m wondering if they have Apple Pay? To me it’s the safest way for a transaction.

They do have plexiglass at the registers and the credit card slot can be accessed without touching much. You could easily wipe down your credit card before you put it back in your purse. I think you do have to press one button to get the card approved. I just use the hand sanitizer from my pocket.

I went the day they reopened here which was just a few days ago. They had new products because I only bought a few things and they were labels from 3/20, 4/20, and 5/20. The stuff I bought is nothing I haven’t seen there before. I will say they seemed to have quite a bit of 6x8’s of shimelles head in the clouds and sparkle city paper pads. My store was not busy at all, so I wasn’t worried about shopping at all.

I was able to go Friday, had a dr appt nearby and drove by to see the Open Banner. Happiest moment of the quarantine. Saw the one way arrows and spots marked out for standing in line. Spent my budget. Mostly 6x8 pads which I discovered watching Shimelle's classes on Scrapbook.com, so I am now 'collecting' them. Hoping to go back this coming week. I live in the 'boonies' so my shopping/errand trips are not impulsive.

Mine got a few random things in their small truck this week. Managed to spend $16 and was very happy to do it.
