Hey Survivors! I'm hoping that my dh will have an appointment tonight so that I can watch the show live (he's a realtor) but I might not be able to watch it until tomorrow morning .... grrrrr Here's what my DVR says about the episode tonight: "One tribe makes a desperate trade for a bag of rice. Meanwhile, one castaway tries to use a fake immunity idol to further his chances of staying in the game." Well, all of that info was in the previews last week All I know is that I'm ready for Dale to leave Who's watching tonight?

My dh should be home tonight after being on the road for the last 9 days so I probably won't get to watch it until tomorrow or Friday but since I have Dale in the pool, I'm not looking forward for him to go home....LOL

I won't get my hopes up although they seem like a really cute couple

Thanks so much for the reminder-I totally forgot that it was on tonight. I think Jeff is going to take that tribe's comfort items that they won on one of the reward challenges in exchange for the rice. Now this is just my guess. I have heard and read nothing! At least that's my guess. Plus, wasn't there a hint about "the rains will be coming"? I do remember hearing something like that which would make that situation (if it happened) all that much more worse since I believe one of the comfort items was a tarp(at least it usually is).
Can't wait till it starts-Less than an hour hear on the East Coast.

Well that immunity idol thing might backfire. Tribes take 2 approaches on that one to not vote for you because you have the idol or two ( more often I think) the vote for you in order to flush the idol out.
We'll see where is goes to night.
I loved the first blood vs water season, but I am NOT liking this one. I can't put my finger on why though.

Leannec-Just curious-Why are you so ready for Dale to leave? I like the guy. I admit he does have a problem sometimes with social skills but look at what he has done-he got fire for his tribe the very first day with his ingenuity of using his reading glasses and making a fire with them. At first it didn't work with one lens so he broke them in half, so he could double the lenses and it worked! You've got to give him credit for that. Last week when Missy was pouring scoop after scoop after scoop of rice into the cooking pot instead of exploding and getting into it with her, he went off by himself to deal with his emotions and talked it out with his daughter.
The people I can't wait to see leave are number 1 for sure Missy. Cannot stand that woman and after that her daughter Baylor, and not by guilt by association but rather by the fact that she isn't trust worthy. On Survivor trust is everything.

So did Natalie just put a target on her back? I got the feeling she pissed Julie off just now.
I honestly didn't think I could watch this season because of the twins, but I have to say I like Natalie quite a bit now that she's solo.

Spoilers:
I called it! Comfort gear gone. And Jeff's parting words of, "Let's hope it doesn't rain" as he's dragging the gear down the beach away from the camp is classic foreshadowing if I ever saw it.
I also am so mad at myself for picking the good looking Alec to win it all at the beginning of Survivor. I think I did this because he reminded me of Ozzie, but this was based on first impressions only from the first episode only. Not much to go on from that little bit of info. 15 minutes into this episode he seems whiny and not strong when it comes to talking about losing the comfort items. The strongest player so far to me seems to be Jeremy. I like his attitude and I like his strength. So far, at least.

Poor Julie-can you imagine if she had gone to Exile Island with no shelter and no fire with this rain? Talk about luck with Natalie volunteering! She thinks she's suffering now.

Ugh! I officially can't stand Jon and Jaclyn. Both times they had a chance to vote out Missy and Baylor and instead went after Kelley and Dale which to me made no sense at all! I can't stand seeing Missy and Baylor still there and now after seeing previews for next week guess what-the merge is coming. Well hopefully, the other Survivors will figure out what Missy and Baylor are like.

John and Jaclyn...again...pure stupidity.
Dale and his dramatics over Kelly being voted out last week...the "worst thing he's ever seen her go through" or something like that. Please.
And Julie crying on the first day/night of rain. Seriously? They've been well fed, had comfort...one night in the rain and it's the end of the world, "the worst thing she's ever been through".
Clearly these idiots have never watched Survivor.

the parent/kid loved ones are getting annoying with their constant whining about their kids, I hate the over the top PDA by Josh and Reed and I am wondering when or if someone will call them on it ugh.
Jon and his better half can't remember her name should have voted out Missy I think that will come back and bite them in the butt at some point Missy looks shifty to me so does her dumb ass daughter.
The whining over the rain and no food ugh it's Survivor not summer camp people
The taking away of their comfort items for the rice was kinda a no brainer what else could they have given up that Jeff would think was a even trade?

The PDA between Josh and Reed really seems to be bothering you Canadianscrapperp-this is the second week in a row you've commented on it. Personally I don't find it over the top at all, they are simply hugging and kissing like any other young couple in love, unlike the other couple who clearly had their tongues down each other's throats, who we saw last week. I think what's bothering you is that they are gay and that they are kissing. Am I right?
It doesn't bother me one bit. I think it's sweet to see them so much in love, and they aren't anywhere near as obvious and obnoxious as the other couple last week about public display of affection that should have been kept behind closed doors. I noticed this week they were very much over it and kept things much cooler.

No you are not right, it isn't that they are gay it is like Jeremy(the firefighter not sure if I have his name right) said even he and his wife wouldn't be doing the pda stuff like they were, and frankly like he eluded to it could a target on them because of it

I'm sure all the couples with family members have a target on their backs, but the PDA between Josh & Reed will get them moved to the top of the list quicker rather than later.

I don't see why breaking up couples isn't the way to go when voting. I guess we'll see how it all plays out when they merge.
I think all PDA is putting a target on your back. Did anyone see Jon tell Jaclyn she looked beautiful (or whatever he said) at the end of Tribal? Puh-lease . . .
Yeah, I'm not liking anybody at this point. The blue tribe ticked me off w/the rice thing. The yellow team ticked me off w/the way they're voting. I don't want anybody getting the million!

Jeremy is one of my pool players, but I agreed with him about the rice. They won a challenge of food the next day. And can't they go catch a fish or something? They don't seem very resourceful.
I don't trust Missy or Baylor either.
It was really down to Keith or Dale to go home last night, those were the two obvious choices. And I do think it was Dales time to go. If he had stayed, he would be gone next week when they merged. He doesn't have a relationship with anyone, and that makes me sad for him. Now he gets to go and spend time with his daughter.

My guy Wes is still in the pool and so far so good yay!
Oh and to the poster who mentioned the you're beautiful line ugh I was like did he just say that lol. You have to think they will be in everyone's sight once the merge happens

I couldn't believe how stupid john and Jacquelyn are sticking with Missy...she's horrible and really nasty. Dale was fine to keep around. I don't like the blood and water thing. The parent's dramatic laments are dumb. And the PDAs are not appropriate...I don't like seeing it and it certainly makes them a target. The editing of the show certainly is playing it up.

I just can't get over the stupidity with the rice. And why oh why are they not out in that ocean looking for food? snails? clams? something? Remember the tribe who ate dead squid that washed up on the beach? Let's be a bit more resourceful here. (also said from the comfort of my couch, but seriously haven't any of these people watched past seasons??)
I can't believe I'm about to say this...but.... so far I'm liking Natalie and she's one of my favorites. She's not annoying when she's not with her sister, she works hard, and does well in challenges. I also like Jeremy (is that the firefighter? I'm so bad with names.)
Also, I HATE that the reward challenge is only between two people. Thankfully they won't be able to do that once they merge. ugh.

I mentioned Jon and Jaclyn last week in not being able to keep their hands off one another or their tongues to themselves...and while Josh and Reed aren't even close to John and Jaclyn...we did see more of their PDA's this week and less of Jon/Jaclyn.
And face it...in Survivor, the only PDA's we're "used" to seeing are couples that hook up during the show...and those couples are ALWAYS a target because they're a threat.
I too liked Jeremy saying that if his wife were still here, they would be at somewhat of a distance because you don't need to remind people by displaying constant PDA's.

Geez, just watched this morning ... Can I say that I'm not loving any of these survivors and I don't give a shit who wins? It was time for Dale to go because he was a complete whiner ... Missy and Baylor need to go ... 10+ on the annoying meter ... Jon and Jacklyn I do like Wes and Keith but they don't seem to have much personality ... hopefully they can stick it out until the merge ... Reed (my Pool guy) and Josh need to keep their hands off of each other or they will definitely be the next targets on their tribe ... from the preview it looks like that is about to happen I haven't watched AR in years but Natalie seems cool and is playing a smart game ... do I want her to win? Meh! Same goes for Jeremy ... Julie, if you can't deal with a night of rain you shouldn't be on Survivor

I don't get the hate for taking the rice. Yes, they ABSOLUTELY should be out looking for food, but with the exception of the tarp, they really weren't out anything important ~ they lost pillows, blankets, and a hammock (um, Survivor), a flint (they still have one), a pot (still have one), hammer and hatchet (still have a machete). In return they have rice that should last the rest of the game.
Yes, they got a food reward the next day, but there was no guarantee that was what the reward was going to be and they would win. Besides, they won meat, so they ate for one day. There's no way to keep meat safe. So they should have waited for one day's food instead of trading for two week's worth?
Combined food when they merge, but that many people would have depleted what the other tribe has left. And wasn't there a season where after they merged one tribe still kept their food separate?

I won't speak for anyone else, by my annoyance is that they're like the grasshopper from the fable. They didn't lose their rice to a flood or an animal. They ate it all! Suffer the consequences. And I agree, they didn't lose anything that important, so I don't feel that they're suffering enough for their (and by they, I'm referring to the original members of the tribe who ate all the rice - not the new ones who just got there last week) stupidity at not rationing better.
