I usually find Rachel Ray a bit too perky-bordering-on-annoying, but I have to say that I respect her for doing her show from home, in her real cluttered kitchen, and is doing it without makeup on (or much makeup if she is wearing any), and regular stay-at-home clothes.
Also that her husband helps out now that there aren’t interns able to help out in the background and that he gets his share of camera time.

I've really been enjoying her at home episodes ... her husband is a gem I was in tears when they did the tribute to Isaboo the other day

I don’t watch but now I want to see what she’s doing! They are grilling marinated wings today - yum! I’m not sure that she even brushed her hair today. LOL! I don’t normally watch it much, but I do have the television on ABC in the mornings at it eventually comes on. It is the first show I’ve seen where they don’t try to sanitize/remove all signs of real life living from the rooms on camera. You know that that is what her kitchen looks like when the cameras are off.

It seems real but OMG so much stuff in that kitchen. A lot of it seems like decorative items. I couldn't work in that kitchen without going nuts! That said, it does seem cozy.

Yes!!!! We watched the first at home episode and I squealed with delight! Her kitchen is messier and more cluttered than mine!!! It’s a real lived in kitchen, not an overly sanitized perfectly white and empty countertop kitchen.
That cluttered well lived in kitchen is literally why we keep watching her in the mornings.

If you are enjoying her show you will LOVE her instagram lives. Her and John make cocktails and dinner and half the time she is noticeably buzzed. And having a great time.
They are quarantining in their house in the Adirondacks near where she grew up/graduated high school. From everything I have heard about her from locals who worked with her in the beginning or have encountered her around town, she is actually a down to earth person. I loved her when she first started out making 30 minute meals on our local news channel. She was super young and even perkier than she is now...lol.

How come I don't have Rachel Ray in the mornings on my tv? Hmm. I will have to figure out when she's on here.
edited: Apparently she comes on at 4:00 on NBC.

Nah, she's a garbage human being.
The clusterfuck with her pit bull shows who she really is as a person.
The dog had a history of both human and animal aggression and biting both people and other dogs. She still allowed it to be walked un-muzzled in public, knowing it was a liability and known threat to innocent passersby. It was being walked one day and managed to lunge at another dog being walked and rip part of its ear off. Thankfully it was another dog it attacked, and not a child.
Afterwards, Rachel Ray was worried that a public attack with witnesses might mean her dog would have to be put down. She threw money at the problem to avoid making the difficult but responsible decision to put a dangerous dog down, and continued to allow other people to be put at risk of a potentially disfiguring, disabling, or fatal mauling.
Anyone who allows a fighting breed dog, more than capable of killing a child and severely mauling an adult, that is known to have a history of attacking humans and other animals to be walked in public without even a muzzle to protect innocent passersby is a garbage human being. Anyone who places an animal's life over human welfare is a garbage human being.

He is. I’ll bet that there will be a push to include him on some shows when she goes back to a studio. ehh. I doubt it. People in general just don't like him, and he's got a history of some bad behavior and just being a sleeze. I know she got some flack when they got married.

I love watching her at home episodes. They're only on mondays and fridays the rest of the week is reruns. I think they make a great couple. Her kitchen would give me major stress though! and why is her oven in the pantry?? Not sure why people think he is unlikeable. Does he still work as a lawyer or does he just work for her show?
I'm not a fan of pitbulls for sure and the story about the attack sounds awful (I had to google it, was in 2010). But I do feel bad for her losing a pet she loved so dearly

I’ll bet that there will be a push to include him on some shows when she goes back to a studio. He does appear on her show often making cocktails, but I'm sure he will be getting back to his work as well. I have a hard time watching her regular shows as she's always touching her hair and then the food and she interrupts her guests because she is running on premium ethanol. lol The home shows are definitely laid back. On two different episodes I watched, she excused herself to go tend to the laundry.

He supposedly is a practicing lawyer and a member of the band Train(?) or some other named band. All wrong, sorry!

I like Rachel's show better in her home then in the studio. It irritates me to see her interrupt her guests when they are talking.

I haven’t seen Rachel Ray, nor cooked one of her recipes, in years. I just took a peek at these Instagram videos and I can’t look away.
The fake cannelloni look really good!

I don't even now when it's on to initially watch, but I caught it the other day by accident. I was pleasantly amused, too.
She had a long sleeve black tee and there was a big gray stain/hand wipe or something across her back. My first impulse was she'd want to know, this is TV! Then, nah. It's free and easy and more real. I like it. It could be me! LOL (except I wouldn't dare)
ETA after reading whole thread (sue me didn't first) if some of the bad said is true, I reserve my right to think differently, but for the show itself it is nice to see "famous" as regular/not perfect. again, just like me.

I like her much better without the audience having to applaud when she adds each ingredient. I saw her home version of the show today and she had Valerie Bertinelli on.
