We stumbled upon the show last night. It is a show that helps an adoptee find his/her birth mother (and father if possible).
It had both of us with tears in our eyes. I salute anyone who had given up a child to give the child a good life, but I am sure it haunts the mother forever.
An episode last night had a now adult male learn that he was adopted because of an attorney who was selling babies to desperate couples who were childless.

I love it too. Were last night's shows new?
We recently found a family member that we didn't know existed. His father died a few years ago and his mother is in her 90's and isn't up for meeting him. She had put it in her past and emotionally isn't able to deal with it all.
As wonderful as it is for most people, I do feel for the people who had an expectation of a closed adoption and now things have drastically changed with advances in science/technology.

I don’t think there has been an episode where I haven’t cried. Yesterday they had the marathon of the Georgia doctor who sold babies. As they dug deeper they discovered that many came to get an abortion and he would talk them out of an abortion and induce them early and sell their baby. Some sick people out there.

Such a good show. I watch it whenever I need an emotional release, because I cry every time.
The woman on the show, Lisa, is married to actor Jon Cryer.

I'm almost as blown away when I realized Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally were married.

Both of the hosts, Lisa Joyner and Chris Jacobs, were adopted as well.
This show really gets me, it is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.

I have always enjoyed that show. I actually wrote into them a few years ago in hopes of finding my birth father. I never heard back from them. Last year I finally found him through Ancestry DNA.

Both of the hosts, Lisa Joyner and Chris Jacobs, were adopted as well. This show really gets me, it is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. When Lisa talked about her adoption journey, it was sad. Because she is biracial, she thought may have been a factor for her bio mom. Was it Chris or Lisa who's mother didn't want to meet them? I felt bad for them, but at the same time you don't know the whole story either.
