Are there any types of movies that you won’t watch with your parents (not including porn/x-rated obviously. 😉)?
I watched Bad Moms Christmas (? On exact name) with my parents last night (they are 77). It was good to just laugh at some inappropriate raunchy mindless movie. I wondered if most people would give me that strange look like...“you are so weird - I would never do that” if I told them that? And I’d rather have people on here tell me that than in real life. 😄
My mom would never utter the word fuck. She is quite straight laced in her actions but loves humor and to laugh. And while my dad certainly would, I have very rarely heard him use it will-nilly around my mother. Sex and nudity don’t bother us. I saw Porkys with them when I was 16. Hahaha.
This has probably been talked about before but I was just curious.

When it first came out on DVD my sister watched Something About Mary with my very conservative (sex was a four-letter word; no alcohol in the house; etc) parents. I couldn't help busting out laughing when she told me she did that

The hair gel...😆😆 I saw Carrie with my Grandfather when I was in my teens. I don’t think it was the movie he thought it was going to be. 😲

Ohhh, this is a topic VERY relevant to DH and I ever since my Dad moved in with us! We do NOT watch shows/movies with him very often; thankfully, he's a very content, independent person who is very happy watching things alone in his cozy room. BUT.....once in a while, we do watch things with him and I usually get embarrassed whenever they use very crude language. I do NOT mind watching regular sex or cussing if Dad's watching with us. What DH and I HATE is when the characters say words like "c*nt", and/or when they TALK about sexual things very graphically, such as bl*ow jobs.

My MIL and DH's aunt and a couple others and I went to see Magic Mike. They were disgusted by it.
Then they invited me to 50 Shades and the sequel(s). I declined. Not interested in having that conversation with them. (I've never read the books or seen the movie, but I figure i get the concept).
What i don't get, probably because I haven't seen 50 Shades, is why MM was disgusting, but 50 Shades was not

Many years ago my mother burst a brain aneurysm. While we were all trying to deal with it all my little sister and I decided to take our stepdad of just a few years to see Duece Bigelow Male Gigilo. We had no idea what it was about. We laughed so hard. So. Hard. We all needed the release. We followed that up with way too many beers and had to call a taxi to get us back to the hospital. My little sister and I are our stepdad's favorites. 😁

I’ll watch anything with anybody.
I remember watching Silence of the Lambs with my grandma when it came out and seeing Rent on Broadway with my other grandparents when it came out. And discussing naked Danerys from GOT with my Dad.
We aren’t a get embarrassed about anything kind of family.
