I have for years shopped their Semi-Annual Sale.. I know the prices are cheap during this sale. I just went online and yikes... I see 1/2 off stuff but nothing like before.. am I missing something? I have a gift card that I have been saving for this sale, but doesn't look like much of a sale. I would assume because of the virus stuff, they are not discounting like before? I know I have purchased bath soap and lotion for $3 each. I don't even see anything close to that. (I have been not using their stuff as much and prefer other products, but I do want to use my gift card to the fullest discount..lol)

my guess is they have less stock so they don't need to discount as much. Maybe they didn't make as many summer items

Agreed. I'd like to restock my antibacterial soap but 6/$26 is not that great a price. I bought it last time at the same price during the beginning of the pandemic.

I went to a couple of BBW in person and there were displays of the 75% off lotions, sprays, etc. and 50% off the 3-wick candles. 50% off all the candle accessories, 50-75% off the wallflower plugs and big discounts on certain scents. Big discounts on the summer scent soaps and hand sanitizer and all the hand sanitizer holders and car scent holders. Not as big of a selection as there usually is, but still the same deals.

Maybe they didn't make as many summer items Looks like a lot of summery items.. but those are not on the good sale.. which I wasn't looking for anyways. I would think they would have had a high inventory since no one was probably buying much for awhile. But if they weren't making money I guess they are still trying to get what they can out of what stock they have. Guess I will wait for a better sale later... It's not like I have 20 bottles stockpiled anyways

Well, rats. I planned to order more hand soap. Yeah that is what I wanted to get as well. I found that the cream lotion that I really liked just doesn't cut the Colorado dryness, so I have moved on to more powerful stuff. I do use the liquid body soap, but I found some stuff that is a bit better for dryness again. But I will use BBW as a good backup. But I do like the hand soap!! But not for regular sale prices. I want the BIG sale prices.. haha

I have noticed that many of my favorites stores are not having their usual sales. It must have been a tough period for them.

I'm starting to like B&BW less - care to share what you prefer more? I still like their aromatherapy line and hand soaps, but the price has kept me from buying in quite some time now (I still have a decent supply tho). And I've decided when the wallflowers I have are gone I'm not buying more. They smell for maybe a week and even though they're half-way full (or more) they don't smell. Not worth the price anymore.

The sale has been going on for some time now - I would guess that a number of things have sold out.

I am trying that line that I see at Target, it's called Soap and Glory (looks like 50s packaging, a 50s pink with a lady on it). So far I like it.. I wouldn't say I LOVE LOVE it. I have only tried the body soap and their sugar scrub. I have a face mask that I haven't used yet. The only thing I don't like is that the bottle for the body soap, the pump is really slowwwww.. you push down for a squirt of soap and you have a wait about five long seconds for the next pump. Would I buy it again? Sure. Would I try something else after this first before buying again.. Probably so.. LOL Also I have been using just the plain Cerave lotion and I LOVE it. It's pricey though (well I guess it is all relative) but about $13.00 for a bottle of it. But I DO love it.

I did the the 6/$26 deal as I was completely out of hand soap. They sent me box #1 with 4 soaps. I thought it was weird as I knew I had paid for the 6/ $26 deal. Then a week later I received box #2 with 1 soap. A week later I received box #3 with 1 soap. They are going to go out of business if they are going to handle their shipping that way! So wasteful!

It was probably shipped from 3 different warehouses.

Obviously lots of people not working normal hours and postage delays etc. They were probably trying their best to get your items out to you.

I want to get hand soaps, too, but refuse to pay their regular prices. I was hoping to find $3 hand soaps but was going to be shocked if they would have their sale this year. My closest store just opened last Friday and I plan to go on Wednesday. I think their lack of good prices this year is simply that they don't have the incentive to offer low prices. Their hand soaps are basically like toilet paper - there was a shortage not only because people were hoarding it but because you had a sudden change in the type of toilet paper people were using. Before the shutdown, if a company had 500 employees who used the bathroom twice a day at work, they were using 1000 uses from those giant industrial size rolls of toilet paper. After the shutdown, those 500 people were at home using 1000 uses from home-size rolls. So while the grocery store shelves were empty, I'm sure warehouses were filled to the brim with those industrial size rolls that nobody will use in their house. Likewise, those employees also were now using hand soap at home instead of from those wall-mounted soap dispensers at work. Shelves were empty of hand soap but I bet warehouses had plenty of large refill packs for those wall dispensers. There was no incentive for B&BW to offer deals on their soaps when they already were a hot commodity. Now that it's time for their sale, they probably don't have enough inventory to support selling it at a really low price.
The other thing is, businesses are operating differently now. They may not have the staff in their warehouses to handle moving larger quantities of inventory like they used to. They may not have enough store employees to handle the volume of customers their sale brings into the stores. They can't have as many customers in the stores as what they used to have in at one time. At my job, I had a patient call today to make an appointment and they couldn't believe it when I told them the earliest open appointment we had at this time was in November. Well, we were shut down for 8 weeks and now we have 8 weeks of patients to fit in among all of the other appointments we already had scheduled plus we can't see as many patients in a day as what we used to because we need to keep our waiting room empty and need more time to sanitize after each appointment. Same with all those people that think the first thing they are going to do when things open up is get a haircut, color and mani pedi. Everybody can't do that the first week. My salon is allowed to open next Friday but it can only be at 50% capacity. They will be seeing their clients in the order that they had appointments scheduled when they had to shutdown. My next appointment had been scheduled for either week 4 or 5 of their shutdown so there are a lot of people ahead of me that will get cuts before me. I don't expect to get called for a haircut until August or September or possibly even later and even then once I get a cut it will probably be another 3 months or more until I can get my next cut because they can't have as many appointments in a day as what they used to have.
All of that is to say that we all need to have proper expectations of how businesses can function right now. And that includes understanding why businesses have a lack of incentive for sale prices.

I have been urging people to have grace for each other during this time and then I myself fail to do so! Thanks for the reminder! Everyone is doing the best they can! I am grateful to have received my full order. I shouldn't be complaining.

I was disappointed in the online sale too. We have a few local B&BW stores here but they are all in malls and I'm not ready to go into a mall just yet. I was hoping to stock up on hand soaps because I love the fragrances but didn't think 6 for $26 was a great deal, especially considering I would also have to pay for shipping. I found some hand soaps on Amazon instead for much cheaper (and free shipping with Prime!)
