I am driving 11 hours and want to listen to a good book. I was thinking War Brides, maybe even gone Girl but that's not the type of book I usually read. thanks, jen

I am currently listening to Private Berlin by James Patterson. The quality of the two readers is great and the story is compelling. I don't think it will last 11 hours as it is only 7 cd's.
The male reader is for the "bad guy" and is really creepy!

My favorite books to listen to are two by Fannie Flagg. I love, love, love "Standing in the Rainbow." Audible only has the abridged version, but your library may carry the longer version. I checked it out from the library on cd and translated it to MP3 years ago (I do own the Audible version, though.) "Welcome to the World, Baby Girl" is also excellent.
Janet Evanovich's books are really funny and are even funnier when read aloud. I especially like her Diesel story lines in audible form.
If you tell us what kind of books you usually read, we can make more targeted recommendations.
