Come on in!! how is everyone doing?! I had a really nice day. I've been really feeling down the last few wks, so having a good wkend is good! Went out to lunch with my dd, then grocery shopping, and stopped at TJmaxx for the1st time since March. Boy was that disappointing!! they hardly had anything! shelves were empty, and they even made the aisles wider because otherwise there would be whole empty racks. Came home and did laundry and sat outside and read. Out to dinner with my dh, and had a great walleye dinner with friends, then home now. Tomorrow no big plans. I am doing a scrapbook class right now online, and it's a sketch a wk, so I try to do a LO a wk for the class. I knew when I signed up that summertime would be a hard time to stay caught up, but so far I have. I was working only 4 days a wk, with mondays off, due to COVID, but now this next wk we go back to full time. So that sort of sucks. I've really enjoyed having mondays off. I'm enjoying a nice blue raspberry vodka and sprite. My college drink as my dd teases me.
How is everyone else?

Here in the great state of Texas, where covid 19 is running rampant...I'm just OK.
We are partying like it was March 20th......which is to say that we are SIP and only going out for necessities. But, we are alive and neither of us have the virus, nor do any loved ones, so we are OK.

We’re good here! I’ve been working on quilt blocks. My dh has been replacing fence posts today (no I don’t live on a ranch) in our backyard. Consequently he is worn out. It’s gotten warm here too. I guess it’s about time as it’s the end of June!
TX from what I’ve heard hasn’t required masks and opened quickly. I feel for them and the other states that have done or maybe I should say haven’t done things.

I went to the cemetery to see my mom and sister today. Today is the 7 anniversary of her being out of excruciating pain. It was a good thing.
I got groceries and stuff. My dad is having some friends over tomorrow and all they talk about is Covid and it gives me a panic attack so I am going shopping but doing the food and drinks first.

Another lazy and a bit boring day here. I do taxes during tax season and keep my nephew's books, so that keeps me busy part of the time, but no taxes at the moment and not quit ready for 2nd quarter close, I have had a lot to do. I stay at home since I absolutely do not want to get the virus as I'm not sure how I would react to it being a former smoker and over weight. Also, want to stay healthy for my elderly mom as I do have to take care of quite a few things for her. Since I worked long hours during my working days, my hobbies and crafting days kind of went by the way-side. We usually travel during the summer months and can't do that, so I'm starting to look for ideas to fill my time as I don't think this situation is going to just go away anytime soon. Not a drinker, so got my ice water to sip, getting ready to eat dinner and have be watching the Global Goal: Unite for Our Future -- The Concert on the TV. Hope everyone is enjoying their evening.

Governor is blaming himself for letting bars open.....IMO, sure. the open crowded bars contributed. But (again, my opinion) opening the damn state and then refusing to say masks required --and then having a hissey fit on a county judge that tried to enforce the policy....thereby saying "no masks required" is the trouble. Our governor is so afraid of irritating Donald Trump, so...........

Do you think TJMaxx was empty because lots of people had been there and bought everything or they just didn't get inventory? I haven't been there since February and there's so much that I NEED!!
I'm drinking some sake, didn't have to cook because we went for drive-through ice cream (safe , masks, etc) for dinner. YAY!!
Heading to DD tomorrow, she adopted a kitten from the animal shelter yesterday. I guess she's my grand-cat.
But hunkering down, we're in FL so it's crazy here.
And doing some Leslie Sansone works almost every day.

I made some black raspberry jelly today. It cooled off tonight so I went on a walk/ jog. I am trying to get back to 5k shape. I am in the beginning stages where I hope neighbors have their windows shut so hey do not hear my grunts and noises.

I've been in a funk today. Didn't get anything done that I wanted to. Sent DH out for take out for dinner. Blah, blah, blah.
This week I have cut 100% of cokes from my diet. Today is day 6. Im sure that has something to do with my mood. I have also started Intermittent Fasting (again). I think my body is just in shock.

We are at the lake for the weekend. Went to the neighbors for birthday lunch. Then spent most of the afternoon on the boat with my BIL and SIL. Came back and had steak and potatoes on the grill. Now I am enjoying a glass of (Costco brand) of Baileys Irish Cream.

Hello from St. Louis! We’re ok here. Today I slept in and got a late start to my day. Hung out with me BFF this afternoon. Then got groceries. Had my first conversation with a guy from online. The call went well we talked for 2 1/2 hours, had a lot in common and seem to have the same goals as far as what we’re looking for. So that leaves me hopeful. Now I’m PUI lol. Have pink lemonade flavored vodka mixed with pink lemonade. It’s been a good day.

I had a fun day! I finally got to use my steam juicer for the first time. I have 10 cups of the clearest strawberry juice I've ever seen. I am going to make strawberry jelly and syrup tomorrow. I also refinanced my house at 2.7% and it 'closed' today. It will really help when the expected teacher pay cuts start.

Oh elannah, I am so very sorry.
I cleaned the house this am, took DD to get us take out ramen (I’m in quarantine since traveled recently) Amd now sitting on the porch in the sun having beer. It’s Sunday afternoon for me, I’m in quarantine another week but starting tomorrow no more daytime baths and naps and such, need to accomplish some things. So I’m enjoying one last decadent day!

Today is almost over and I will be glad. (Sister died today). Tomorrow we are having company but I am just doing drink and food. All the talk about are nursing homes and Covid. I can’t deal with this kind of stress. I will attempt to go shopping and look at stuff in the store this time. Enough ordering online. (Truth:I probably won’t go shopping). Also PUI tonight. I’m sorry to hear that your sister passed. My condolences. I got to watch my granddaughter this morning so my DS could clean the house and surprise his wife who has to work all weekend. At 2 1/2 she’s a hoot. Then I stopped by ALDI on the way home go grab a few things and spent the rest of the day quilting. It was a really good day. I’ve been trying to walk 3-4 miles a day several days a week. I skipped today but I’ll be back at it tomorrow.

Went to a grad party today where no one was social distancing and DH and I were the only two people wearing masks. For most of our two-hour stay, the talk around us was that everyone is sick of COVID-19 and all of the restrictions, and they all think it is a giant hoax with overblown reactions. DH texted me (while sitting right next to me) and said, "They must all think we're really crazy sitting here with our masks on." But frankly, I didn't even care. If people are going to be hugging, standing close, etc., even if the party is outdoors, I'm masking. Too many people in my life (including me) who are high risk to be taking such chances. Sat outdoors with my neighbor and her dogs tonight and had a good conversation. Not sure what in the world I'd do without her. Good friends are a blessing!

That looks delicious. I just cut up my fresh strawberries, sprinkle with just a little sugar, then mash, with a fork for a small amount or potato masher for larger amount, until the juices start to run. I usually let it sit in the refrigerator a few hours to soften up and get more juice. You can microwave for using on pancakes. DH likes it on ice cream.

And doing some Leslie Sansone works almost every day. It could be a combination of both? there was literally only half a store left. They had pushed empty shelves and racks back in to the corner where the bedding and pillows usually are, cleared out that space, and just shifted things over. They also removed entire aisles. So you know how narrow the aisles usually are, with the hanging clothes? Now you can fit 2 carts down it.

We always go out to eat or do take out on saturdays. I totally cut out pop and coffee about a yr ago now. I drink coffee on sundays still, and I will do a pop once in awhile when we go out. I have tried intermittent fasting to, and need to get back to it!

That's exactly what I do, but I don't mash them. We like the bigger pieces. but yes, just sprinkle with sugar, cover and leave overnight, and in the AM you have some nice juicy sweet strawberries and sauce.
