and 15-20 minutes later when you’re shoveling it into your cake hole you can thank me! Thanks for making me laugh. The first time I heard the term "pie hole", I was partially grossed out, but then it struck me as so funny. And the term "cake HOLE" along with how you said "shoveling it in" added to my giggle, becauseee.....SHOVELING sweets is something that I've gotten wayyyy too good at during quarantine!! I am totally that dog.

I've never had one but the whole reasoning behind this sounds more like a way of looking to appear to be socially responsible. I don't see how not making a half sheet cake but continuing to make round cakes helps to free up space in the bakery dept? This is giving me a pat myself on the back type of feel. Am I missing something?

So what's the big deal with Costco sheet cakes? I've never had one - asking for a friend....

So what's the big deal with Costco sheet cakes? I've never had one - asking for a friend.... Costco’s cake is ALL THAT. Not lying. One of those giant two layer, mousse filled sheet cakes slathered and decorated with bakery buttercream runs about $20. For the money, it really can’t be beat. I need to go there tomorrow or Thursday to pick some stuff up for the cabin and I’m pretty sure one of those cakes is coming home with me. I simply can’t take just talking about it anymore.

I have to go to Costco in the next couple days to buy canned cat food (they have a 60-can pack), and I think I'm going to buy a cake! Is there any "OCCASION" for cake? Nope-- except that I want it, because of this thread!! What are you talking about? 4th of July is Saturday! That right there is a good enough excuse!

Am I missing something? I think that they don’t need a decorator air a decorating station. It would surprise me if the other cakes come in frozen and pre-decorated. If not, they can be done ahead of time because they aren’t personalized.
