The school board in our county voted to retract the plan to open schools August 10, and recommended to remain in the distant learning format. They will address reopening month to month. This vote still need to be approved by the state-which may be challenging. This is Florida, need I say more.
As a side note - the state had record breaking 120 deaths in one day. But, the governor insists Floridians have nothing to fear.

Our district came out with a preliminary plan, but with the understanding that it all gets scrapped if the number of cases goes up. Then, it's remote learning time.

Our superintendent just “met” with staff and went through the tentative draft that’s been created for a reopening in mid-August. I’ve taught for 20 years and I usually can’t wait to go back to school in the fall. This year I’m an anxious mess just thinking about it. If nothing changes and we proceed with the current draft, I think it’s pretty much a given that the school year won’t be as successful as other years.
I’m not saying that we (admin, staff, students & parents) won’t do our best to make things work. I just don’t see a way to effectively replicate the learning process/learning environment while still abiding by the new rules put in place to ensure everyone’s safety. I love being a teacher and my heart breaks just thinking of the year ahead and how it will impact students.

Superintendent for our county (Escambia) held press conference just yesterday to announce the planned reopening on August 10 in traditional format with no social distancing and masks recommended but not required. Students can also opt to go full time online with same seat time as traditional or Escambia/Florida Virtual School. This is a massive crap fest waiting to happen.
