I'm about ready to strangle my dh. He got a new iphone for work. Bad idea. He used to have a flip phone. So the boss just went to Verizon and got him a phone and gave it to him and said, there ya go. He has no clue. So he went to the verizon store to have them switch over his contacts and such, and set up the phone, and they put in the wrong email address for him. So now he needs to download all this apps for work, and cant because he can't verify his email, because, well, there isn't one. They spelled his email wrong. I can't go in and change the default email, because to do that, I have to log IN to the email they entered, which doesn't exsist.. it makes no sense. WTH should I do? should I just see if this other email is available and try to synch them that way? I told him to take it back to the store and have them change it, but everytime he takes it back in, it just seems more F'd up. helllllpppppppppppppppppp

Yes try to set up the email. Verify it with Verizon then change it to the one he uses.

Call apple...there is a way to change your email because I know I had to do it for my dad. He had spelled it wrong.

Wahhhhh. I don't wanta call India!! Plus I'm slightly irritated that I"M the one figuring this all out, not his boss's DA wife. Can you tell I'm getting PO'd.

And that the verison spelled it wrong. it's so dumb. So he said his initials. that's his email..and she spelled them out..like my intials would be CLN....gmail.com She put seeeln...gmail.com...get it? lordy

Ugh! I can’t help however I totally emphasize. Over the weekend, I spent two DAYS talking to Apple about my dead phone. It would be way too long to explain but let me just say I spent about two hours on hold and three hours actually talking to a representative in addition to hours on my own - just to get a ticket to send my phone in!

when you call apple support in the us, you get an apple support person in the us... you do not get routed to india or somewhere else. so call apple.. call early..and get the help you need (dh used to work for apple and he doesn't help people other than me--he says call apple)...

Apple doesn’t do that. I would guess you set it up all over again. I too would go back to Verizon and make them clear it up.

I ended up just making him a new email, using the email screw up they did. Being he doesn't ever use email anyway. It wasn't a big deal. Then I had to verify and get his apple ID set up. But I think I have it. I should get paid for this. Thanks for all the suggestions! oh, Verizon customer service up here sucks.
