We had a wonderful evening up a logging road near the coast here in Oregon. We had a fire and roasted marshmallows, and once the sun went down there were so many stars visible! There were also meteors. Anyway, here’s what I got, feel free to post your own, cell phone or other. Canon 5D 30 second exposure.

Well my photo isn't up to your standards, but for a handheld shot with my phone I'm pretty pleased...i didn't even know I could change the exposure until we got there. (10 seconds, standing as still as possible!) It was a gloriously clear night here last night, if we looked the other way you can see the glow of the milky way. And we saw a shooting star go right over the comet!
