My son had coughing and then a day of labored breathing, then coughing, then nothing. Never had a fever but he did lose most of his sense of smell/taste. When I asked him what flavor of ramen to drop off, he said it didn't matter . I hope your daughter feels better very soon.

My daughter it was general run down and then shortness of breath, she didn’t have a fever until a few days in. thank you. How long was the fever and until she felt better? For me , I had the fever for about a week. However, this was probably because I had a secondary infection (light pneumonia). As soon as I started a Z-pack it went away and I started feeling much better in a day or two. I should have started that sooner but by the time I knew I needed a dr visit it was Friday afternoon and I waited till Monday so I could do a virtual visit with my dr because I physically could not get out of bed to go to a clinic. I hadn’t eaten all week and just did not want to attempt leaving the house. The fever was controlled with Tylenol.... it was the no appetite that really brought me down the most. I lost 11 pounds! I have since regained four of them.

Also, my daughter got tested with me at the beginning of the fever phase. She did test positive but only had a cough and loss of smell and taste. No fever. Her loss of smell and taste lasted about four days and that was it. She still has a slight cough but dr said the cough can linger.

For me, it was congestion and then a cough. My doctor and I both thought I had a bad sinus infection. (This was late February/early March before covid testing was available in my state). I didn't have a fever until several days later, and the fever was mild and only lasted one night.
I have about 50 friends and acquaintances who came down w/ covid after attending a big party in late February and/or a big wedding two nights' later. My state's health department has confirmed the party was an initial super spreader of covid in my state.
Of those 50 or so people I know who have had covid as a result of attending the party and/or wedding, the symptoms were all over the board-loss of taste and smell only, stomach problems only, severe flu like symptoms, symptoms which mimicked a bad sinus infection, etc.
I think one of the reasons covid has spread so rapidly is that it's symptoms are common to other illnesses. (People assume they have seasonal allergies, for example, rather than covid).
Also, it affects people so differently. My best friend and I probably got it at the same wedding. Her only symptom was loss of taste and smell (which wasn't a known symptom of covid at the time). I thought I had a bad sinus infection. Both of us had been to the doctor and neither of us were told to self quarantine. We never dreamed we could have the same illness!
This is a long winded way of saying I just don't think you can compare your own symptoms w/ anyone else. I'm not a medical professional, so take it for what it's worth, but I think anyone who has any symptoms of covid whatsoever, should stay home and/or go get tested.

I'm presumed to have covid after talking with my doctor's office over zoom last Friday. My only symptoms were fatigue and a sore throat. It only felt like I had a cold coming on. No fever, no headaches, no body aches... YET! I'm not being tested and I'll get tested for antibodies in August. My last day for quarantine is today. I'm staying put a little bit long just in case.
My DH had body aches, congestion and a headache along with fatigue. His headache showed up pretty early. He got a body rash a few days ago. That's pretty bad.
My kids had a cough and complained of fatigue.
I am so thankful that this is all we had but fearful of anything coming back to us, like shingles after chicken pox. I am also so very thankful that when I grocery shop, I try shop for at least two week and then no more excursions. I'm sure I went shopping, contracted covid, came down with symptoms and had to quarantine for 10 days. I'm positive that I didn't spread the disease to anyone else other than my family.
well wishes for you and yours

Thank you for sharing! Her test came back negative but with all her symptoms we are still quarantining! Could be a false negative. I hope she's back to normal soon!
