Do you think FYC changed their paper to a more matte, textured paper or do you think these sneaks were just printed on cardstock because they were samples?

I need to use my stash. [...] I really want the new kit too. It's the circle, the circle of December goodies! 🎵 Will you be working on your 2019 DD in preparation of the 2020 holiday season? pancakes I would assume those are home-printed samples of the final products but maybe you could send a message via social media to ask?

Looking forward to DD again. Going to try and use what I already have, including an album I bought last year. Will see how long that resolve lasts

I’m interested in the IACB cards digitally. If I’m going to foo a holiday only album I think a formula for what to put in for each year is going to make it easier. Those tradition cards are right up my ally
Think I can figure out how to change the dates? Hmmmm

I always think of Allie’s Alot monster when I see that typo! Which is often not an actual typo, but rather a dumbo.
Also fond of Alot’s popular cousin, Allot.

Let the countdown begin! For 2014, 2015, & 2016, I did 8x8" modified DD, scrapping memorable moments from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. Love those albums, but don't have room for another album each year. For 2017, 2018, & 2019, I've scrapped Christmas festivities on 12x12 pages, and add them to one ongoing album. I'll continue that for 2020. I plan on using paper I already have, and a couple months ago I bought holiday stickers on Etsy to add something more. With the year the way it has been, I'm looking forward to throwing myself in happier times.

I’m actually starting to think about finishing JYC 2019 so I can be ready for JYC 2020. I’ve always done 6x8 but thinking about creating my own memory book this year. I loved creating the one I made for my partner teacher who moved. Putting in flaps and pockets and little hidden spots feels like it would be perfect for Christmas.

I loved my DD last year but I think I'm going to just scrap Christmas/December in our family album again this year instead of a dedicated album. I need to use more of my Christmas stash before I can even think about buying more Christmas ... hopefully making Christmas cards and finishing up some previous December pages between now and Thanksgiving will help with that.

Also, the newsletter from FYC mentioned that IACB collaborated with Pinkfresh Studio for their Christmas line Oh What Fun--I knew there was a reason I liked it when I saw it!

I am also the one who is planning to use the stash or past kits. I am hoping I will stay strong. I do not need an album or papers or stickers. I pre-ordered a few things here and there but really do not need anything else. I still want to do the DD album with a lot of memories, reflections, things around the house. Maybe a story about my favorite ornament. It will be an opportunity to use the pretty things with probably less pictures. Maybe it will be a December when a vaccine gets approved, also you always have a holiday Starbucks cup to look forward to, new and old Christmas movies. Bring on Santa in the mask!

I’m alone in this, but I don’t like The red in the FYC kit. It reads orange to me.

sleepingbooty, I always finish my album in September/October/November. I’m just happy I get it done but I also thing that this late finishing is part of what makes me stop doing the current DD mid month. This year I’m thinking of simplifying. This is also something I say I will do each each. 🤣 I’m doing pretty good with my positivity passport. I’m on day 20. So I call that a success. If I can get DD to be that easy maybe I will finish it. But I like all the pretty things. 😀

Think I can figure out how to change the dates? Hmmmm In PS or PSE I pick the color of the background using the eyedropper and draw a rectangle box over the top of the bit I need to change. Then I just add my own text over the top of that. Matching fonts isn't usually possible but it works ok and it's a relatively easy fix.

I’m alone in this, but I don’t like The red in the FYC kit. It reads orange to me. It is indeed a very warm, bright red. I actually love this shade, but it isn’t a traditional Christmas red. I’m sure you’re not alone!

I’m alone in this, but I don’t like The red in the FYC kit. It reads orange to me. I agree, reminds me about a red Ali DD album years ago that was orange in reality.

I’m alone in this, but I don’t like The red in the FYC kit. It reads orange to me. I see it as a warm tomato red instead of the usual cool leaning neutral red for Christmas that’s traditionally seen. You’re not alone.
