I just saw where she has died. Thanks to all who helped to cheer her up.
to a friends mom? Here is her story:
Her 98th birthday is next month. She lives in a independent living community and has pretty much been quarantined to her apartment since March. She has started going downhill and she is extremely “blue and depressed” in her words. Physically there’s really nothing wrong with her. No terminal illnesses, dementia, pain, etc. She has just lived as long as she wants and is ready to go. She stopped taking her medicines and started hospice care a few weeks ago. She has no excitement or variation in her days as she doesn’t want to do anything or even go outside. She’s just.... waiting. Awful, I know. Anywho, the only highlights she has is when she sometimes gets mail. So anyone that wants to send her a little happiness card or note would be so appreciated. Also, she’s Cuban, so if anyone if bi-lingual, she would be ecstatic to get them in Spanish also! Thanks in advance! She is a little spitfire! (I get it honest!)
