Today is one of those days when I am just really hungry and can’t seem to get past it. I’m trying to do work and feeing like it is keeping me from fully concentrating. I had salmon and veggies for lunch and just had a piece of toast with peanut butter (and a few spoonfuls of plain peanut butter).
What do you eat when you feel like this? Nothing really sounds good but my stomach is nagging me.

I just go with it and graze until I find whatever is satisfying.

Some grapes and a couple small pieces of cheese, along with 2 or 3 crackers. If you put them on a small plate, you feel like you're having a meal.

I'll be the dissenter and say push through the hunger. Hunger comes in waves, it'll pass. Just ride it out. Get busy and try to train yourself not to snack anymore. Fast between meals. You'll get used to it, I promise.

2 hard boiled eggs have enough protein to keep me from eating like crazy.

My body confuses hunger and thirst. I drink ice cold water or really hot tea when I have eaten and can’t seem to stop craving food.

Nuts, cheese, olives, pretzels, yogurt. I never ignore my hunger. I eat when I’m hungry and don’t when I’m not, even though it might be meal time.

Drink a big glass of water and eat a handful of nuts. If you are still feeling snacky, eat a big pickle or baby carrots.

I feel this way one week before my period. My mouth always craves something, even when I'm full. Even if I binge eat, I don't feel satisfied. Just bloated and miserable. I'm sure it's a chemical in my brain that makes me crave things. I eat out of boredom a lot too. I'm trying to have healthier snacks on hand for quick grab and go situations. Would a square of dark chocolate tied you over? I just ate a venison stick. Peanut butter or hummus with celery is good. I like pea pods, sliced cucumbers, cherries, and grapes for filling me up .

I’m going to be the crazy person who says that if you’re hungry, you should eat. Your body is telling you something. Hunger isn’t a weakness to be overcome - it’s your body telling you that you need to eat.
Eat something substantial but healthy. Heck, have whatever you planned for dinner now and just a light snack later. Mealtimes are a social construct.

Hmm, I'm never hungry these days, but I'd say yogurt (I LOVE those Chobani Flips!), a little square of parmesan cheese (they sell them, pre-packaged in a net bag now!), a tbl of peanut butter.... Water is my main staple though, so make sure you're not just thirsty.

I make myself a little "plate" on a salad plate:
Couple of TB of hummus Sugar Snap pea pods Baby carrots some fresh fruit/berries and a Babybel cheese
I can nibble on it over an hour or so it gets me through a good long time. It's got crunchy and creamy. And it's pretty darned healthy.

An impromptu trip to In-N-Out Burger. But, don't listen to my advice. I'm a bad influence. I am trying to get back on track after gaining ten pounds while I was mandatory off work for a couple months. Too much snacking! I'm trying to get back to no snacking, smaller portions, better food choices. When I feel hungry I make a cup of tea or drink a glass of water. More often than not, I am not hungry....just stress or bored.

We are filling up on chips and ribs. AKathy would have kicked my ass if she had seen this. He then wanted pie and then ice cream. Holy cow! I made 6 vegetables to roast and ribs. We had chips.

You'll get used to it, I promise. That is what I normally do but today it wasn't working well for me. I don't eat breakfast and usually just eat lunch and dinner, once in awhile a snack between. but today the hunger wasn't going away. I think it is hormonal.
