trump's base is so closed minded that nothing will budge them. but hopefully it will strengthen everyone else's resolve to vote him out.

I hope the people who need to see this will watch. Even if they do, they won't believe him. The Trump supporters I know would truly vote for him even if walked out into the middle of 5th avenue and shot someone. It's so mind boggling to me. Many of the Trump supporters I know truly believe that he is going to go down as the best president in the history of our country. They believe that a vote for Biden is a vote to END OUR COUNTRY as we know it. Yep, it is. LOL Just not the way they are saying it.
I don't get it.

Apparently there are a number of Republicans who are going to speak at the Democratic Convention

I know people who think Trump is the second coming. I do NOT understand. They didn't think this way about Bush, did they? What am I missing? Finally we have an open racist in office and I truly believe that is what people are celebrating. It is shameful. People I used to admire think Trump is all that.
As I always say, I can understand wanting a Republican, but not condemning this Republican is just wrong.

What other President has inspired people to deface their cars and put flags with the person's name up on their property? There is a tent on the side of a highway that sells trump gear now. Ugh.

Every morning I wake up and hope that a miracle has happened while I slept and he is gone, and every morning I'm disappointed. I'm so afraid that no matter how we vote in November we will not be rid of this blight.

Really scary to watch that. To not give federal funds to California devastated by wildfires because they don’t support him?? Totally inexcusable. It’s not his personal bank account for him to spend on his pet projects like the wall. And the Republican politicians who support him and allow him to get away with stuff like that? Equally guilty.

For the first time in his life, my dad says he is voting the D ticket (as he puts it) and my mom said she will not vote at all. She cannot get past the abortion issue. If we lived in a swing state, and not CA, I would fucking insist she go to to the polls and vote for Biden.

I am a moderate conservative and for the first time since 1992 I will be voting for a democrat! I can’t vote for this man. He is an absolutely disgusting, vile excuse for a human being!

I don't understand posts like these. Picture it: Republicans routinely win a state, say, 10,000 to 5000. So, 6000 have come to realize that Trump is a bridge too far. They can't vote Democrat, though, so they choose to stay home. 10,000 - 6000 = 4,000. 4000 < 5000. Ergo, by staying home, they have still prevented Trump from winning.

If they couldn’t bring themselves to vote for the Democrat, they’ve at least indirectly helped his campaign by not voting for the Republican, either.

Because you can’t rely on the math working out like that. If only three thousand have decided he’s a bridge too far, and they stay home, Trump still wins, just by a lesser margin. Since no one can predict for sure how that balance will work out, if you want Trump out of office, you need to go vote for the other guy.
