I pretty much use E-Z Dots Mini from Scrapbook Adhesives now. They're a couple of pound and I can get them on Amazon prime. I buy a couple every time I place an Amazon order so I have a few stocked up.

Why do you guys prefer the dot adhesive?
Just wondering because I went through some of my old layouts and re-did them. The ones with the dot adhesive came off quite easily. Which was good for me tearing them apart easily. But I wonder about it in the long run if they will hold up?

My original CTMH rep used it all the time, and when I saw that she was using the removable version for scrapbooking, I asked her why she was using a temporary adhesive. She hadn’t even noticed what the packaging said. She was pretty upset. I haven’t seen the temporary version for a long time. I miss the option. It was helpful for those times when I needed to place something temporarily. I haven’t been able to find it for quite awhile. The only dot adhesive I’ve seen in recent years is permanent.

I’m looking for dot adhesive to put on the back of intricate background dies with lots of openings. My current adhesive is Duck brand and it’s little rectangles of adhesive so it won’t work on intricate dies/backgrounds.

I'm always fussing with the extra adhesive trying to get it off or I end up with wet glue all over the place. Thanks for explaining!

Gina K Designs by Thermoweb. It’s permanent and I’m having good luck with it so far. I was able to pick up a few runners and several refills at Tuesday morning before Covid.

Scotch makes a temporary dot adhesive. I just got some at JoAnns early this year.

Hey - do you have a current source for this? The website I used formerly does not list it anymore. Thank you!

I use Tombow. I get the refills at Michael’s. I like it, it sticks well and is not too expensive.

I had the same experience as @foxy with my Herma Dotto dot adhesive, and it was definitely permanent - I don't ever use or buy the removable/temporary kind. It just didn't hold up at all, and I am having to re-adhere some things in my albums. I switched to the EZ brand tape runner, and have had no issues. For adhering small/intricate designs I use Tombow multi glue or Zig - both have an option that has a pinpoint tip. If the item to adhere is narrow enough (smaller titles, word embellishments, intricate borders, small intricate die cuts, etc.), I put it through my Xyron X. Love that thing! After adhering, if there is any sticky residue around the edges I use my undo adhesive remover to clean up the edges - works great!

Pink Tombow. Love it. Sticky enough to stick, but dotty enough to be able to pull up when necessary because I have clumsy fingers and a crooked eye.

Thanks @ Kat Scrappiness. I use the red permanent tape runner refill. I found some on eBay.
