LA Times...
”Breaking: At 121 degrees, Woodland Hills hits all-time heat milestone — and a record for L.A. County”
Here in Sonoma County north of San Francisco I’m at 109 with the added pleasure of smoke.
I imagine a lot of records are going to fall today in the state.

Inland OC as well and we are 108 but in our driveway yesterday afternoon the car registered 115!
Alexa seems to think our low tonight will be 73...
Stay cool!

We're expecting a rolling blackout at 6 PM this evening unless something changes between now and then.

Right now it’s 103, which isn’t abnormal for summer here. The number of days in a row of triple digits is unusual.
I feel for those closer to the coast who don’t have air conditioning.

In San Jose/Almaden it's currently 104 with smoke. My HVAC hubby has been helping charge units for our neighbors and I'm so thankful for his profession right now!

It's 105 outside according to our cooking thermometer that's out there. According to weather.com it's 108. Supposed to be 110 tomorrow. The skies are DISGUSTING and gray from the smoke. I got up at 7 this morning and could have sworn I woke up in the dead of winter the skies were so dark and gray.

Inland OC at 111! But global warming is totally a hoax! 🤦🏻♀️ Denver had 100 degree temps this weekend, and now they are expecting snow on Tuesday. The weather is so messed up!!

The high in North Hollywood was 114 today. We are 17 miles east of Woodland Hills. Right now it’s 109 (5:30 pm approximately). There’s smoke in the sky and it’s very grey outside.
Like a lot of cities in SoCal, we have a large homeless population. I worry for those with no shelter from the heat and the horrible air quality.

It is miserable! We got up to 107 and air quality with smoke over 150. I have lived in the Bay Area my whole life, it has never been this bad.

It hit 105 where I'm staying and supposedly it was 113 back at home where the firefighters are still trying to manage the hot spots. The air quality, even down here, SUCKS.

He shrieked!

Went sailing today and it was 93 in the marina (Long Beach)! Cooled off considerably out on the ocean, but yowza I’ve never been that hot right on the water.

I'm sure the 113 we hit in Ventura County is record breaking for us. I'm so glad we got our a.c. fixed.

109 was the high and very smoky today. If they turn my electricity off It may be the last straw. I’m waving my white flag on 2020, I’m done.

It is insanely hot here. My one cat that was an indoor/outdoor cat tried to sneak out this morning when I opened the door to go turn the water on to fill the pool. He got about 10 feet into the back yard when he realized how horribly hot it was and bolted back into the air conditioning. It felt like I had the oven door open.
I have been inundated with ants too. They have been coming in all week, but today was horrendous. They are getting into every source of water in the downstairs from my sink, the pet water bowls, my toilet (!), and even the water in my coffee maker. Thankfully I checked it before making my coffee this morning because there were several ants inside the water reservoir drinking. It is so bad that I have had to rig up my cat's food with a water bowl underneath to keep the ants from eating their food before the cats do.
I need to rent an anteater!

San Francisco hit 100 today! My town across the bay was 107 but we drove up coast to Mendocino where it is a perfect 69 today and no smoke. Dreading going back home.

We live in Marin County, right on the San Francisco Bay. It was over 100 at our house today. We’ve never had air conditioning but installed it earlier this year when we had to replace our furnace. So thankful!
As most of the Bay Area we have smoke from the fires along with the high heat.
Crazy, scary times.

That’s just too hot. I follow a cookier on IG and her and her husband just moved into their new house. She has been dying to break in her kitchen. Well, she tried and she was like “Nope, too hot”. Her kitchen was 110*. She ended up sitting in her bedroom with the A/C and I don’t blame her ONE bit.

109 in Sacramento. And it's supposed to be the same today. I read it hit 120 in San Luis Obispo--right on the coast. That's hot!
