I tried a search and went back months and didn’t see anything like this. I have been to Aldi and we have a few close but wasn’t really liking the store much until I went to a new one a town over. All of ours are new but this one was just a bit bigger and nicer. The produce looked good and I grabbed a few things but not sure what else to try.

The produce goes bad quickly, IMO. The cheese is really good and very inexpensive, as are the eggs/butter/milk. They have a lot of organic things, too.
The Aisle of Shame (AOS) is filled with their weekly specials. These are HOT HOT HOT. There are FB groups of tens of thousands of people devoted to the AOS and what they find there. Their salmon is also very good.

I get ALL my dairy and meat from Aldi. It's so much cheaper than the "big name" grocery stores. Eggs are typically between 98 cents and $1.30 but every other store is at least $3.99. Large blocks of cheese and gallon of milk are at least $1.75 cheaper. For meat, the boneless, skinless chicken breasts are at least 50 cents per lb cheaper.
I get some vegetables from Aldi like cucumbers, apples, avocados, tomatoes. I do not get potatoes or lettuce because they seem to rot very quickly.
I love their Animal cookies. They remind me of the ones from McDonalds in the 80's. YUM!
I would say I do 85% of my grocery shopping from Aldi. There are some name brand things I still get at the regular grocery store.

I do 95% of my shopping at Aldi's - contrary to the others, I've never had a problem with their produce so I think it might depend on your store.
The ciders are really good - DS likes their wines as well (I haven't tried them). The pan au chocolat are yummy - pop them in the microwave briefly. There's often a seasonal cheese - yum!
Meat and fish (salmon and trout usually) is good -the chicken breasts are huge - one is plenty for the 4 of us.
The pizza (refrigerated) is a good quick meal
They have a decent selection of gluten-free if you need that.
My kids like their brand chips as much or more than the name brand.
When Christmas gets closer - the german chocolate and cookies are wonderful as is the stollen

The quality of produce tends to vary in relation to how popular Aldi is in your area. When ours first opened, you had to use it right away, but for several years now the produce has been excellent and lasts just as long if not longer than what I buy at Kroger (again, this varies based on how popular the variety of produce is).
Cheese and chocolate are top notch. I also like their wines and DH likes the knockoff snack cakes (peanut butter/choco wafer things). Milk and eggs are an excellent deal there and I also buy most of my staples there, sugar, salt, garlic powder, packaged yeast, etc. I do not buy their flour because I'm snobby about it and only used unbleached from King Arthur. DH didn't care for their mayo and the ketchup is just passable (we're a Heinz household).
If you do facebook, checkout the Aldi Nerds group - they're always posting about new products and what they think of them. The Red bag chicken is legendary...

We love the ice cream sandwiches. The marbled cinnamon and apple strudel breads make delicious french toast.
I get all my eggs, milk, butter and baking supplies there.
Red bag breaded chicken filets in the freezer section taste similar to chik fil a.

The better reply (for me) is what I don't like at Aldis, because we do the majority of our shopping there.
I don't like their doritos type chips. Regular potato chips are great, just not those.
The only other Oh my gosh never buy that again product would be their fall pumpkin filled ravioli. I thought it would be savory and cooked in brown butter with fresh sage and when I took a bite it was like biting into a piece of pumpkin pie wrapped in pasta. UGH! Nastily sweet and just wrong.
Other than those two that stand out in my mind, everything else is very good. DD loves the hummus and we all love the bagels. DS loves (on the rare occasions when they have it) their macaroni and cheese take and bake pizza. All of their take and bake pizzas are good (and affordable) although we haven't tried the cauliflower crust ones.
I think it is easier to switch to Aldi brands if you are already used to buying store brands at other stores (Kroger, Walmart etc) but for me, I really don't see any difference between Aldi brands and national name brands except the price.

Ravioli. Their seasonal frozen ravioli have been good. Heaven forbid they ever get them in on a regular basis though.
My favorite us their Frozen crab & seafood ravioli But I haven’t been able to find it in forever. I also liked their mushroom ravioli. Their regular frozen ravioli Is just average and not really something I’d drive there for specifically but their seasonal or rotating ones have been great.
I also like Aldi wine but I can only pick that up on vacation as they can’t sell it here in my state.

I love Aldi! I do get produce from there, but we buzz through it pretty quickly, so it doesn't have time to rot. LOL I agree with the others recommendations. Also, their baking supplies are good too. We love their chocolate (and other flavors)chips. They have a breaded chicken breast in a red bag (in the standup freezer section) that we also love. I think the only thing that we've tried that we really did not care for is the gluten free tortillas. LOL My DD has Celiac so we have tried all of the GF stuff (and most of their items are GF even if they aren't in the GF section).

Chocolate Cheese
Some of their specialty dips and spreads. Loved the corn dip they briefly had this summer but could never find it after the first time.
Chicken salad
Simply Nature Organic white cheddar popcorn
I’ve been getting great red raspberries this summer.
I always check the deal aisle. Several weeks ago I got a splatter cover for using in the microwave. Love it.

I like most things I've tried at Aldi. If I go for a 'big' grocery shop, I usually go there. There's a few exceptions, so easier to mention those.
THe only things I can think of that I didn't like: - Regular Clancy wavy potato chips - they are too salty to me - Center Cut Bacon (But that may have just been the package I bought - the flavor was fine but it shrunk up SO much it was a joke) - Great prices, just always look over your produce carefully! QUality varies by location from what I've found.
I prefer their nonfat greek yogurt and cottage cheese over most other brands, cheese, meat, fiber wraps, sourdough bread, baking supplies, spices, etc. have all been good. They also have a Cinnamon Swirl Bread that if you're not dieting is AMAZING. Alas, I don't buy it or I'd eat the whole loaf.

Aldi has always been one of my faves. Meats, dairy, produce, cereals, breads, frozen stuff, booze, most everything I want I find there at good prices. I always buy The Cook House One Pot Sauce Starter when available. I just sear some beef chuck in the IP, add carrots & potatoes, dump sauce on top, cook half hour or so, done. Delish. Another fave is their beef brisket which is good quality (and it’s flat cut, which I don’t see in other stores). Salmon, I also like a lot. If you like Prosecco, the Belletti brand Aldi sells is quite good.

This summer I was alerted to some yummy pickles and got hooked on them . They were spicy dills and so tasty. They went well with a sandwich and were just delish!!
Then i found out they were seasonal and I'm bummed.

Their mint thins are delicious, if they have them.
When we go to visit DD and SIL, we stop at Aldi. I stock up on baking ingredients, but not flour- DD says her bread and things don't turn out well with their flour. I get sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar, baking cocoa, baking soda, molasses, ec.
I try to stock up on DH's graham crackers and vanilla wafers, too.
Their brownie mixes are really yummy!

I do about 95% of my shopping at Aldi. My boyfriend and I like to have charcuterie quite often so I am often checking out the specialty meat and cheese selection. One of my favorites lately has been the Stilton with fruit in it. The Stilton with lemon is fabulous and I also like the Stilton with apricot
Pretty much the only thing I do not get at aldi is the spaghetti sauce, because my kids are not a fan and peanut butter, because I prefer the natural only salt and peanuts kind and for some strange reason Aldi doesn't have that option. I am particular about my flour and only use King Arthur brand, so I have to get that someplace else too. Oh, and Cheerios! My kids will eat any other kind of cereal from Aldi but not the house brand Cheerios!
My Aldi used to have a poor selection of produce and it never looked good. But a few years ago they remodeled and after the remodel they must have gotten a new produce supplier because it's been fine since then.

Another vote for all things chocolate. I particularly like the 70% chocolate bars and use those in baking. The chocolate covered shortbread cookies are delicious - both milk and dark chocolate.
I've had good luck with produce in the last couple of years. Meat is fine, too.
If you like Cheese-it crackers, their generic brand is even better. They are right by the entrance and I have to hurry myself along lest some will end up in my cart and disappear completely in about two days.

I have my staples I get, and I rarely stray from them.
Berries - they’ve been great all summer Heavy whipping cream Fresh trout & salmon Brussels sprouts (must check them over good) Prosciutto Mini salami’s
They have a chocolate Bundt cake in the bread section that is DELICIOUS.
I advise against their nuts. They are terrible, compared to Planter’s, IMO - especially the almonds.

I love their Simply Nature blue corn tortilla chips, and my husband loves the Simms hard salami and their cheesecake sampler. I’ve actually had good luck with their produce, but understand it varies from store to store.

I see this question come up a lot on the Aldi Facebook groups. However, it really is just a matter of taste so it doesn't really matter what somebody else's favorite is! One person's favorite is another person's "I hated it!" Why not just get whatever you would get from your regular store and see if you like the Aldi version?
