no, I keep my distance. Nothing I do or say will matter. People have to learn the hard way.

I was in one of those MEGA-HUGE grocery stores (not Costco or Sam's---actually a local chain---but probably as big as those stores). This cute family of Dad, Mom, and two kiddos around age 6-9 and I kept seeing each other in different aisles, so we smiled through our masks, I told 'em their kids were adorable, etc. A few isles later, the little boy has now lowered his mask, picking his nose, annnnd coughing sans using his elbow or hand to cover his mouth. Unless the parents were VERY vigilant, he probably touched many, MANNNYY items in the store with his germy hands. At this point, his parents were completely oblivious to him, walking a bit ahead of him, trying to keep their eye on their daughter. I won't EVER confront anyone, plus---even if I DID----people are gonna do this stuff anyway.
So to answer your actual question---No, I wouldn't dis a CHILD for breaking mask rules. If it had been his parents, other adult customers, and/ or employee coughing into the air and picking their nose, yes--- total dis---silently, in my head! When I see adults (sooo many recently!) that are wearing their mask under their chin, I just avoid that aisle. ***People are too scary to confront !!!*** I just looked away from the cute young boy and walked away quickly, avoiding walking through his cough droplets. I was getting tired, thirsty, and couldn't wait to get outside and take that mask off and REALLY breathe !!! Looking back, I had probably PLANNED to clean off every. single. thing. I'd purchased, but, I was so tired and just didn't think about it. We cleaned every thing from the stores and take-out restaurants back in March, April, and mayyyybe May--- but we've gotten lax. **Speaking of why I will NEVER confront people, I am still in shock/ upset after reading the thread about people with Trump or Biden signs in their yards having PIPE BOMBS and FIRES started at their homes. Everyone is under extreme stress from the pandemic alone, and trump makes my blood boil but to threaten peoples' LIVES with a violent, horrible death OVER WHO THEY'RE VOTING FOR is just unfathomable to me !!!!

Recently, I started noticing a lot of older men who walk in with the mask, then pull it off immediately after they've passed the employee who's checking everyone at the entrances. Then they don't wear the mask the entire time they're shopping.
My Dad has his own theory---that those men are insecure and worry that wearing a mask threatens their masculinity. Hmm.....I wonder if that's it? Maybe a combo of that, and/or they believe trump and think masks aren't necessary.

If someone has their mask on, but nose exposed I scream "your dick nose is hanging out" loudly inside my heart. (I saw a meme and that's all I can think about now.) In reality, I try to have no visible reaction other than positioning myself further away from them. Ha ha ha! My DD will whisper to me, “That person’s wiener nose is out!” whenever she sees someone with their nose out! We never say anything to them but we clear a wide berth. I also think to myself, “Hey dummy. You do know that the virus can go IN YOUR NOSE, right?” SMDH. Droplets from an infected person can also go in your eyes. Fauci says to really protect yourself we should be wearing goggles.

stopped in a town that does not require masks but we are used to it so just automatically do it. The very first store I went into, I got yelled at twice and was kind of shocked. I'm confused.....you wore your mask in a town that does NOT require them. You were yelled at for doing the RIGHT thing?

That’s also why they recommend physically keeping your distance from other people.

I was shopping at Kroger two days ago, saw two people without masks at the beginning of my shopping and just stayed far away. I could tell they had a shortage of employees working. I tried to return my deposits and the line was out the door and someone said only one machine was working. I went to the counter for help and they said they do not have enough employees so there is no one to help with bottle returns.
When I encountered the third person with a full cart and no.mask.at.all (nothing even hanging from an ear or neck). I lost it internally and finally said something! She was blocking most of the aisle and I said "excuse me can I get through" she looked at me like I was crazy and I said "6 feet please because you are not wearing a mask" Then she laughed at me and did not move. I just turned around. If only people would try to stop the spread everyone could go back to some normalcy!!!

I could see that happening just by walking around a store when I see this from Harvard Health: Aerosolized coronavirus can remain in the air for up to three hours.Sep 17, 2020 Isn't that why they don't want things like singing at church because you're putting your droplets out in the air? Or am I totally off base?

Or am I totally off base? The thing with singing in church is that everyone is pretty much stationary indoors all together for an extended time. These days when I go into a store, I have my list, get my stuff and get out again ASAP. Usually not more than 20-30 minutes, even at Costco. I don’t casually browse for stuff I don’t need. I shop during the day in the middle of the week when stores are less busy. I don’t hang out in aisles where other people are (especially if they don’t have a mask or are wearing it incorrectly) and I generally stay as far away from them as I can. The stores I go to are big and well ventilated. That to me is a lot different than sitting six feet away from a bunch of other people in a closed room for an hour at the little church in town.

Dis, no. I do tell my students to keep them on though. I’ve have a handful that can’t seem to keep them on their noses, but it’s getting better.
In public, no. I figure they are looking for a fight most of the time, so I won’t give them that honor.
We have a mandate. Today was a good day when I was out and about, but Costco, a couple weeks ago, was not so great, and I was camping in the Hibbing, MN area last week and stopped at a Walmart there (forgot to pack socks for the kids). I started to seriously contemplate trying to take photos of the all the non compliance as evidence; this is not an exaggeration (mask mandate STATE)—at least 9-10 grown adults with no mask. None. Not even hanging off the chin. I saw about 4-5 wearing off the chin and probably 8 or so off the nose.
I honestly think the store was about at a 50% compliance. It made me rage-y.
