My peeve is with people at my parking garage at work. I get here early and park in the end spot. Just because I am on the end (parked to the far left of my parkign spot) doesn't give you the right to park over the line in to my parkign space! I get there early, so I can get the end spot. Jerks!

I finally asked to move spots at work. It is so tight in our parking garage and the lady who was parking next to me was always super close to the line and she was very overweight. She would ding my door with hers constantly. She couldn't park right and she couldn't get into her car without hitting mine. I don't get why it is so hard to park a car.

a long time ago I saw some enterprising (and humorous) company was selling "You're an Asshole Parker" Post-It Notes. You leave them in your car, then when you come across one of these a-holes, you leave it on their windshield. It's something I should just print up myself because I come across these jerks all the time. The pics above are hilarious!

It drives me nuts to see the big truck towing a camper taking up several spots and they are parked as close to the store as possible. Go park in the back of the lot.

My friend just told me this story on Monday. She went to Walgreens this weekend. She came out of the store to find a car parked 2 inches from her car. She sees this woman walking up to the badly parked car and she says to my friend "I know I parked close, I'm so sorry but I'm sick and in a hurry". My friend's response "why the hell do you think I'm here?!" The lady promptly got in her car and took off.

Oh and if you get a chance, Google "next time leave a can opener". Lots of funny memes and sayings regarding parking.

I hate when I get blamed for bad parking when I was parked between others. They leave making my look like the idiot.

The middle school where my kids play soccer, I swear some of the spots are narrow just so they could get x amount of spaces in the lot. There is no way a normal car can fit in them and open the doors. So one car tries and parks over the line, the next car is over the line, the next car is over the line, then someone with a jeep parks over the curb... I should get a picture some time. Then one car leaves and the other cars all look like jerks because they are all over the line, or I see a spot and then can't take it because there is no way my car will fit. It's ridiculous.

I do have one thing to add before everyone goes keying other's cars or considering kicking a dent in a door, not that I believe any of the reasonable peas would really do that, sometimes we don't know if the car that is parked straddling two spaces actually did that intentionally. It could be that some moron did park that way first then forcing all other cars to park straddling lines to fill in the remaining places. After people start to leave you don't know which person started this mess. I know this because I have encountered a movie theater lot that was exactly like I describe and I would have been totally dismayed if someone vandalized my car because they didn't consider how or why we ended up that way There are often two sides to every story that need consideration. IN the sam even of parking lot stories, yesterday as I pulled into a spot in the parking lot where my daughter works, a glanced up as I gathered my things and saw a woman seeming to be yelling at the windshield of her car. I thought is there a child/passenger that I am not seeing or possibly she is on her phone. I watched her carry on for 2 minutes, entertained by this behavior. It dawned on me that she was yelling at me and I am now looking out the window to see if something is wrong. Nope. She finally puts her car in reverse, shaking her hand at me then gives me a very unfriendly thumbs up, as if to say I was the moron. I nearly flipped her a hand gesture because I thought that was the game we were playing but quickly regained my common sense before I stooped to that level. I figured this woman in her clearly more entitled SUV was having a bad day and was getting ready to pull throughout the parking space and now I forced her to back up. Oh my! To have to drive correctly. I wasn't speeding, I wasn't parked incorrectly. I simply pulled into the nearest space to the building that wasn't marked handicap. What gives with that? People are getting crazy and so self entitled out there. And.... with all her yelling at the window, did she believe that I was going to back out of the space to allow her to pull forward. The parking lot was not full or blocked so backing out was easy and as it turns out she was simply going to pull through, make a uturn and go the opposite direction. I try to be a polite driver at all times but drivers like her make me want to never leave my house. Things that make you scratch your head. On a side note, I was telling my daughter the story and described the woman and my daughter said she thinks she helped the woman in her store and she was a doozy in there too. I would have been so tempted to pull through the spot as she was backing out. What a loon!

It's like this in my supermarket's parking lot. And to make it even more difficult to get the cart to your car, the spots are not lined up so there are no clear paths from the first row to the second row. They are T'd up so you can see the grill of the car in the facing row. Pure genius at work there.

This happened at DH's office several years ago, except the lady wasn't overweight, she was just careless. The parking lot was full so he couldn't move spots. Since the car was in my name, I filed an insurance claim against her. She was not happy with me but after paying an autobody shop $300+ to fix the door dings, they miraculously stopped.

I called a fellow swim parent on this at a meet one day. I was waiting for my won to get out of the car and he was taking his sweet time. She pulled in, facing me, but straddling two spots. She got out and locked the door. I mentioned that the way she was parked made it impossible for anybody to park in the spot next to her (cause she was taking half of it and it was not due to the way anybody was parked next to her). She got very huffy and said, "I wasn't planning on staying." I smiled and continued to stand there and she got back into her car and parked correctly.

One of my kids Dr's is in a medical building with crazy parking. You have to get there at least 20 minutes early in order to find a parking spot.
A brand new Toyota truck pulled in and took 2 spots. He was still in the car with his wife and child when I walked past. I pulled out my camera and took 3 or 4 pictures.
They got out and asked what was I doing. I said there is a website that posts pictures of douche parking and I was sending it in. He got mad, I walked off. His wife was telling him I told you you were parked wrong. He did not re-park.
Guess which Dr's office he went to? Yep, mine. I wanted to melt into my seat because he was hot. He asked me what kind of car I drove and I told him a mini van. He snorted. I told him I also drive and correctly park my dh's Ford F250 King Ranch with no problems. That I know that it is a more expensive truck than his and it fits in one parking spot perfectly. His wife told him to just hush.
I don't think I would ever do that again. He scared the poop out of me when confronted me.

One time I was with my mom who used a wheelchair and we parked in a handicap spot. The ones for vans that have the space next to it with the lines so that you can load and unload a wheelchair. When we came out of the store, some idiot had parked in that spot (with the obvious lines) and we had to back the van out to load my mom's wheelchair. This happened another time at a different store. I just have to wonder do people honestly think that that space is there for them to park in? I wanted to wait for the person in the first incident to come out, but my mom did not want to wait. The second time it happened, I left a note on the windshield of the car.

Or there's this option: ( link) The less hardcore version, leave a copy of it with "Next time, a-hole..." emblazoned above the image. Quoting myself because I fixed the picture...

We are the last carpool spot with the next space being the beginning of the compact free for all parking. In our carpool are three mid sized SUVs. The carpool spots are small and seem to have just been compact spots repurposed for us. Four out of five days the people that park next to our space are parked crooked on or over our line And of course security will do nothing. We have to start dropping off at our building before we park and picking up when we leave because we can't get into our car while it's in our spot

It's frustrating, but I think there are just as many if not more people that throw the door open into the side of another car, the wind takes it as they are bent over the passenger seat pickup up their purse or whatever, or their kids lets themselves out the back and jump out while the door swings out wide. They lock the door and walk away. Having finally been able to purchase a brand new car for myself after 14 years, I cringe every time I pull into a spot where space is tight and hope that I don't come out to a big ding in the door. I DON'T pull into multiple spaces, but there are times I want to. As someone else said, even pulling in one of the outer spaces where you think nobody else will park that far out with you, usually fails too.

My husband has left a few of these (or similar ones) on cars that not only parked so he couldn't get in, but left dings in our door. Sometimes he actually parks in another spot just so he can watch the owner of the vehicle react to his masterpiece.

Yeah, so I worked with a "all about me" lady. Got along with little to no one and was self-entitled. She got a new vehicle and would double park in our limited parking lot daily, because it was HER new vehicle and better than all the rest. The "boss" would do nothing because she was so crazy and hard to deal with. This went on for a while and since nothing would be done about it, one day a bunch of the guys all double parked in the back line of spots where she would always park. Boss got mad but finally had to deal with her because of it. And then she had one of her crying "everybody picks on me" fits. It was pretty funny. And not a public parking lot so it didn't bother non-employees. (or employees because we all loved it. Cured her and wimpy-boss-syndrome.

I was with a friend at the mall. When we came back to the car some jerk in a sports car had angled into the spot next to her and left her very little room to get into the car. She could barely squeeze inside. Too bad she had to scratch up the passenger side of his car getting her door open.

My issue is with parents who park in reserved teacher spots at our school. It's always, "Oh, I was just running in for a moment!" Whatever. Most of us have started parking them in and then the parent has to have the office page the teacher to move their car so the parent can back out. And personally I take my sweet time about coming when they call.
