Things are in full swing autumn here...the last of the leaves are just barely hanging on and the days are cool and crisp. I've been focusing on getting some yard work done, but really want to take at least a few fall photos. I was organizing some supplies last night and have healthy stashes of both Amy Tangerine's Late Afternoon and Simple Stories Cozy days, so fall pics are in order to use up some of the goodies.

Oooooh! You will have to share what you got when your happy mail arrives... Like an unboxing video... I'll tell you what, grammadee... if I get them this week, I'll do the unboxing LIVE during Sunday's crop. You can all watch me struggle with the utility knife and take bets on which finger I'll accidently slice. I think you should do the xacto knife step off camera like they do on the "official" unboxing videos. I want you to focus on the knife and not cut yourself!

I made 4 Halloween cards yesterday.
I plan to make some autumn themed cards to send to some older people I know are not getting out. I have a pretty big autumn stash to make a dent in.
I also placed an order for some photos for my October Daily project.

I actually used some embossing powders and embossed a few Christmas tree cut outs. I'm experimenting for Christmas cards.
It's been years since I pulled out my embossing supplies.

Is it fairly easy to do? I've always wanted to try. I accidentally bought an embossing pad instead of a black ink pad, so I already have one thing.

I have the best results if I hold the paper in my hand to use my heat gun, compared to laying it flat. Use a clothes pin to hold the paper if it's small. Do not heat on your cutting mat - it will warp. I use a cutting board from my kitchen.

Today I'm back to sizing and editing photos for my Halloween album. I have 2004 through 2016 ready for printing, but there's still so much more to do. I'm wondering if I have 100 4x6s so I can get a better price on the printing.

I'm going to do the same. Thank you. In other random scrappy news, I've been organizing Disney pictures. I put it off since pre-covid times thinking it was going to be a huge chore. While has taken time and thought, it hasn't been as bad as I thought. I'm looking forward to editing and ordering them so I can get started on scrapping them soon. That will be a nice winter project.

Today i wrote journaling for my October pandemic pages. I hand printed a 6x12" journaling about how things are going. Included Trump testing positive for Covid19.
I haven't taken any autumn photos yet. I need to before it is just cold and blah.

Ugh. My Shutterfly order was supposed to come Thursday, with my October photos included. Then it said Friday. Now it says Saturday. I want to start playing with my October daily project!
First world problems, for sure.

I finally placed the orders for my Halloween album photos, 4x6s from one place and 6x8s from another. I probably won't be able to pick them up until I go out on Tuesday, but at least I'll have them for next weekend. This weekend is all about the Christmas cards.
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's online crop. I hope all of you posting on this thread, or maybe just lurking here, will think about joining the online weekend crops. They're free, they're easy to access, and there's no agenda. You just sign onto your Google account and click on the link in the crop thread. Don't worry that your crafting space isn't camera ready - I've been working on the floor for the last few weeks!

I sorted my September pandemic photos just now.
(In no real order)
September 11th anniversary (the death count from that tragedy juxtaposed with the covid death count so far. Sounds weird, maybe it is, but both events affected me very personally).
Virtual schooling for the kids.
Milestones: USA 200k deaths USA 7 million cases Globally 1 million deaths
Woodward's book with Trump quotes.
My local state & city info & happenings related to Covid.

I finished June 2019 PL and just have May to go to finish up 2019. I might have more done except I had to over complicate some simple cards and that took time. But hey I had done fun doing so that’s what counts right?
I also really need to get my sept pictures printed.
Now I’m waiting patiently for my pens to be delivered from Amazon as my pen is out of ink as of last night. I was close but didn’t quite make it til they were here. ( heaven forbid I write my journaling with any other pen for pete’s sake )

I almost crossed off every single flippin' item on my son's virtual homeschooling checklist today!
It was a good boost. There's been other stuff in the last couple of weeks that have not been so great, so I'll do some scrapping tonight to distract myself.

Feels good, doesn't it?
Dd was doing the same this weekend. Dgs had an easier time focusing the last couple of days, and she had purchased a bar magnet for him to do his experiment in Science. Just had his "Phys Ed" schedule for last week to be filled in and submitted. He has just three days of on line schooling this upcoming week. Today is a holiday and Friday is a teacher pd day. So they should have a bit of a break from the grind.
I have the photos for his Health assignment (planning and preparing a food guide friendly meal) from the menu he wrote out to the kid with his plate, AND the magnet assignment, so I will be scrapping those pic's once I get them printed.

I just finished two, 12x12 pages that are in a divided sheet protector. It is mostly all photos. I adhered some photos to paper and decorated a journal card. I have two other Halloween pages I'll share tomorrow if I remember. These are actually for my son's album, but I'm counting it for October Daily.

I just posted this in the October Daily thread. I woke up to the sound of a demonic voice, a scream, and a bedroom door slamming. My son's friend gave him a motion activated Chuckie doll for his birthday. He put it on the kitchen counter, and moved our indoor security cameras to face the doll. Chuckie was a little too sensitive and went off when my daughter was at the top of the stairs about to go in the kitchen. Much to my son's dismay, nothing was caught on a camera. I immediately received a strongly worded text message from my daughter about her horrible brother. I'm kind of torn. It was funny. I may have laughed a little. She hates dolls. I hate clowns. To document or not? That is the question. I present to you 2 ft bump 'n go Roaming Chuckie. Go to 12:28 to see him move I kind of want to see a battle between Bruce the Shark robot vacuum and Chuckie. May try when my daughter is at work.

Oh my gosh!😁 I definitely would have been the one screaming at the Chuckie doll. That movie creeped me out so bad when I was younger. It could be a great page, tho. 😁

I scrapped days 1-6. Yesterday I placed another small photo order. It sure is easier to order 26 photos than 226! See - a silver lining to going nowhere and having no photos.

Hope you get a chance to scrap, LavenderLayoutLady. Marshalling your mojo can be a big thing. I was gung ho in September, but this month, not so much. Yesterday I wanted to just do some prep for a crop next week, and had the time, but couldn't get myself organized to do it. Ended up watching another episode of season 4 of The Last Kingdom, instead. WTG ordering your photos, mikklynn! I usually edit while I place my photo order from the kiosk at Walmart, and one of the downsides of less frequent driving into town is that I haven't been to Walmart for over a month. I have some recent photos on my phone, but won't get them printed until next Friday. Have figured out what I am going to do for today's 6x8 LOAD page. Can't believe I am keeping up, and running out of ideas for my All about Me album. It is good this is "forcing" me to finish my book, but as a person who is used to scrapping the latest photos and happenings, it is sometimes a stretch to look at a content prompt and then have 24 hours to come up with a page. When I think of an idea, it is sometimes a challenge in itself to find a photo to use for it. Have been printing most of these at home from my computer files. Print quality isn't very good, but with old b&w pic's my HP inkjet does okay. Temp was -10C this morning (about 14F) so I think it is safe to say that fall is on its way out and winter is on our doorstep. Some other places in Alberta have had snow over the last few days. So I am thinking dh will be spending more time in the house from now on, so not as much scrappy time for me. Have a good weekend, everyone!

I did scrap today. Six 12x12 September pandemic layouts.
I'm glad I'm keeping up to date, but man, is it depressing to see what my country, and the world, are going through.

I'm a bit south of you, but we had snow yesterday - just a quick shower. I used to print my photos and edit at the computer stations at Ritz Camera. I was so disappointed when they went out of business a few years ago. It was so quick and easy. I'd have my photos in an hour.

I did a little bit of travelers notebook yesterday (this is a new thing for me). And today hoping to do a few October memories in my October mini album. Woo-hoo! I love fall. It's my most scrappy time of the year.
