Hello, October!
I love autumn. I love putting out my fall decor. I love pumpkin scented soaps and candles.
I am doing a photo per day challenge for myself to capture it all, as well as have something fun to do while I stay home this year.

Hello October - it's been beautiful here in the morning/overnight but still reaching 80+ in the afternoon. I'm hoping the cooler mornings will start last all day soon.
We'll probably do Fall decor on Sunday - Saturday is DD13's birthday so I usually wait until afterwards

I’m scrapping fall 2019 pictures. Remember 2019? When we could go places and be with people. Those were the good old days. I’m using SS Cozy Days and having fun with it. Next up will be some Carta Bella Hello Autumn. Love these collections.

Just playing in my memory planner I have one of those. I've taken photos and made notes in my regular planner. Just haven't started it and or printed . It's been just a complete roller coaster ride this year. And none of it has been because of covid for me. Just everything else. It was such a hot summer here and with no central air working on my craft room was not an option. Anyway. Life seems to be calming down a bit and temps are now manageable , plus I got a new chair for my bday for the my scrap room . Luckily even though life has been hectic I havent stoped buying stuff so I have lots of pretty things to play with. I signed up for the third year to the card swap. Can't wait. I have a couple designs in mind. Picking up some paper this weekend. Also my scrappy friend and I have a Christmas card date on October 17. We picked simple stories vintage Christmas line. We will design cards with limited extra supplies like dies, stamps and embossing folders. I really have realized how much crafting means to me. I've missed this place. I'm hoping to be more active again around here. I'm glad this thread has continued.

This month will be an interesting one, for sure. It’s our 24th wedding anniversary, and near the end I will be participating in She loves color that is put on by Bella Blvd. It will be interesting since it will be virtual. My bestie will be coming to stay with me for the weekend, and my DH will be our butler. LOL I’m hoping it will be a lot of fun! Bummed that I won’t get to hug Stephanie Smokovich’s neck and meet Vicki Boutin in person, though. Hoping to put out my fall decor tomorrow. I don’t have a ton, but I’m ready for the change of scenery!

Our 4th anniversary is this month, and it's the first year (apart from our first anniversary) that we aren't taking an overnight trip somewhere. But I'll be doing lots of fall baking, and we're likely going apple picking tomorrow. Mosaic Moments released a new line of fall colored paper today and it is just gorgeous and I'm probably going to buy a set or two even though I have no need for it.

I have a love/hate relationship with October. I am a summer girl thru and thru and so when the leaves start to change and MN becomes less sticky, I get pretty sad. I love the humidity of July and the smell of the lake in the morning. That said, I have three birthdays this month, and a DS to do virtual college visits with and a whole lot of other stuff, plus my Fall (October and November) Daily that I committed to! So a lot going on, I am sure October and November will fly by, then it is Christmas, then if I can just make it through January it's almost summer again, right? Right mikklynn? I am a little bummed because it is my 25th wedding anniversary this December and we had to cancel a trip that we have been saving so long for. That said, I will try to just be grateful and thankful that we are all okay and concentrate on "home stuff"...scrapping, cardmaking and of course, work!

We all feel like we survived another winter once we get through January. You'll like this - I have my snowblower being serviced right now, so it's ready to go.

We have the beginnings of lovely fall weather today and my DH and I did a little bit of replanting and yard work. I am trying to clean DGD's backyard toys to see what I will drag inside for the winter and what will get stored or left outside. It's getting a little bit harder to keep her entertained in one room now that she's adept at stairs and climbing on things. I have taken so many photos of her playing both inside and outside and I am eager to scrap them.
I really like the cooler temps and my fall clothes, but I feel like summer didn't even happen. It just went so fast. I don't know if it's because of the pandemic or just me being older. I'll be at a scrap retreat at the end of the month and will try to make a small dent in the scrapping for this year.

Fall is usually quite short here. Most of the leaves are now on the ground, but today is a beautiful crisp autumn day. Dh is scrambling to add a layer of compost to our garden and he has me on speed dial to pick up the truck when it has been loaded and bring it back to the garden for him. I want to make my Christmas cards this month. justjac & I have a crop in a few weeks, and I intend to use that time to finish up. Playing along with CARDtober here, and LOAD over at ScrapHappy. I think most of my pages there will be for my 6x8" album: smaller real estate, so I can get them finished faster. I had hoped to make cards all day, but looks like yard work instead...

I thought I was going to be home alone all day yesterday. I was going to have my own little scrapping retreat, while DH went to a friend's cabin for the day.
Well, drat. He woke me at 4 am to say he had an issue with his feeding tube that sent us to the ER. It's sad when they know him by name in the ER! They replaced the feeding tube and I had him home by 1 pm. I suggested I drive him to meet up with his friends (with masks!) and then continue on to visit my parents, later reversing the trip to bring him home. So, that was my day.
I did start making some Halloween cards Friday. I hope to continue that later today.

Remember 2019? When we could go places and be with people. Those were the good old days.
Seems like years ago now! I already miss all the seasonal events that we can't do because of the pandemic.
I really like the cooler temps and my fall clothes, but I feel like summer didn't even happen. It just went so fast. Summer did just fly by! We couldn't/didn't do many of the things that mark the summer season for us, because of COVID19.
All the summery photos have been taken in the backyard. Sprinkler, water balloons, kiddie pool, water squirters. Even 4th of July.
mikklynn Sorry your day's plans were altered. I hope your dh feels better.

rymeswithpurple and LavenderLayoutLady He is fine. It's a pretty simple procedure that takes about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the whole arrive at the ER, get checked out, get a surgeon, etc takes more like 5 hours. He was so happy to get some "man" time with his friends.

Well, September passed and I barely scrapped. I only started a few pages, not even finishing them.
I still have July and August photos printed that I haven't touched/scrapped.
Part of the problem is that I've been working six days a week, and the seventh I need to catch up on all the errands and chores that I fell behind on. Another part of the problem is that there are no fun events or travels to scrap about. We're not going anywhere. Not doing anything.
I take fewer photos than I normally would, and print even less.
Anyway...
Today I'm off and I'm hoping to putter in my scrap stuff.
I made a point to order September 2020 prints this morning, so at least that's done.

Yes, my 2020 scrapbook is going to be on the thin side too.
I got a good start on my Christmas cards yesterday. I might go back to them later on if I can, but I have obligations pulling me in other directions at the moment. (I'd better quit procrastinating now)

Today I worked on a few layouts.
Used several PL cards that I had bought at the Dollar Tree months (?) ago.
Peppered the layouts with enamel dots.
Wish I had more time to play.

I guess now that it's October I can kiss that no-spend September streak goodbye. Just dropped $35 at Scrapbook.com. Most of it was page protectors, but I bought 3 more bottles of Nuvo drops too.
And I just got a shipping notice for an order from ACOT, now that the Cocoa Vanilla I've been wanting has come in.
I'm very excited!

I am taking every Friday off for the rest of the year because I have so much vacation accrued, and I can't wait! I love playing around with crafty stuff on days off.

I was going to do something like that, but we have to work in the field 3 days a week and then 2 days at home and my day off would have to be one of the work from home days. My work tablet is in for repairs so the only days I get my computer work done is the work from home days, otherwise I have to try to submit reports from my cel phone, squinting and that’s given me too many headaches So I’m basically taking most of December off

I'm going to work on my October Daily/Ongoing Halloween album. I am so sick of 2020! Our TV of five years died yesterday. The old one is currently sitting on the kitchen table; where I scrap! I have a scent called Magic Pumpkin I've been melting in my warmer. It was been unseasonably warm here, but next week should be normal, cooler, fall temperatures. I think I'm going to take my virtual homeschooled son to a walking trail today while it's perfect temperatures!
ETA: For my sanity, we do one program, take a 10 minute break, repeat, repeat, repeat. NOTHING is online work.
