We’ve had bad air quality for weeks now. I normally always have a couple windows open, but with the AQI being so poor they are all shut. And despite running fans, being in a stuffy room makes me feel claustrophobic. Who else is feeling the effects of the poor air quality?

Every winter; constant bad air quality. A lovely thing called inversion when bad air is trapped. We had some of the effects of the fires in California then winds that were as strong as hurricane 3 came through.

Yes it’s absolutely horrible here. Usually we open our windows and doors at night to get fresh air and cool the house down which we obviously can’t do. The house feels stuffy and warm. I also can’t run or even hike outside which is driving me absolutely crazy.

We live in an old house with leaky windows where there are fires right now. Smoke is awful. I find myself coughing in the morning. My mom lives about 5 miles away and recently purchased an air purifier for her house and I am thinking of getting one too. She got a small one and it works well in her small house.

You guys are my soul sisters. I hate a closed-up house. My bedroom windows are open year-round ... two of my windows are sheltered by the roof overhang, so even when it’s raining, they’re open. This smoky air is killing me. I can’t breathe in a closed-up house, and now I can’t breathe with the windows open, either.

I like hiking and taking long walks and working in my garden. I’m so tired of exercising indoors.

I am definitely feeling it! As I've mentioned on the board before, I'm just a few miles away from the North complex fire that has been going on since mid-August. Since that time it's been smokey nearly everyday with the exception of a couple days here and there. My eyes itch all the time, my throat is scratchy, I can't stop sneezing, and I always feel like I can't really take a deep breath.
I never used to have such bad reactions to the smoke that inevitably fills the sky every summer but after the Camp Fire smoke in 2018 it was like my body said all bets were off lol. I've had a lot of trouble ever since then.

I’m so weary of it. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and the air quality has been so bad for over a month, with a few lovely days thrown in.
My eyes hurt with the smoke; we’re not walking outside right now and it’s so overwhelming. My heart breaks for those in the middle of the fires, losing everything and evacuating.
This year is such a rough year.

the smoke has been screwing up our air for over a month.
Every once in a whole the air will be good enough to open the windows
